Pictures of Today

Okay, I know my Blog looks different again--please bare with me, I love pink, I like to think of pink as my signature color, but the last two templates with pink looked really busy and too cluttered together--This template has more room for the posts, and I picked a grey backing because I think it will go nice with pink accents--What do you think?

In between tweaking my blog, I was working on today's daily activities:
I baked a cake:
I made my homemade Dinner Rolls:I also made my Rigatoni Casserole. All I have to do is top it with lots of cheese and warm it in the oven--That will be served with the Dinner Rolls above, a green salad, and some steamed carrots for tonight's dinnerOver at Kelli's blog, she posted all about her lovely Sunbonnet Sue's" I told her I would post a picture of a lady with a sunbonnet my great, great grandmother made (I never met this Grandmother). Now, that I have it out, I am thinking of framing it and hanging it on the wall, what do you think? Kelli, is this a "Sunbonnet Sue" ?
Well, I also did my two loads of laundry and hung the pictures I said I wanted to hang. I just love being a wife and mother :) xoxo

Is it Wednesday Already??

Good Morning!! Is it Wednesday ALREADY???
List:
2 loads of laundry
Make some Bread/Dinner Rolls
Clean guest Bathroom
Vacuum
Hang some picture up on the wall, that I have not done yet--I finally figured out where I want them:P

Those are just some of the things I would like to get done today. I do have a main list in my Household Notebook/Journal--I love my notebook--I have always had a notebook for as long as I can remember, but Fly Lady really pushed me to organize it better and such. Fly Lady calls there book a Control Journal. I had at one time printed out the Flylady logo and put it on the front of my Notebook, but I then changed the cover to reflect me, I used Scrapbooking paper and printed some pretty pictures of the net.
Also, I just love the kitchen section in Fly Lady, especially the recipe for RUBBER CHICKEN, I use the idea, and make it my own, kwim?

Rubber Chicken
Leanne Ely's Rubber Chicken Serves 4 for 3 days
1 chicken -- washed and patted dry (get a nice sized one)
1/2 celery rib -- cut in pieces
1 onion -- quartered
1 carrot -- cut in 2" pieces
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
Day One: The adventure begins--Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In the cavity of the chicken, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place cut up vegetables inside. Sprinkle the outside with salt and pepper and a little garlic powder, too, if you like. Cook for about an hour or longer (depending on the size of the bird) till the juices run clear. Let sit a minute and then remove the vegetables. In the meantime, if you were smart, you boiled the neck with some celery, onion and carrot and have that broth, too. To further cut down on the grease from the chicken, you could take the cooking juices and put them in a cup and refrigerate while you make the rest of the meal. This will get rid of a significant amount of chicken fat which will all rise to the top. Make a nice gravy by deglazing the pan with a little water and thicken it up with a flour/water mixture (about a tablespoon should do) Serve your wonderful chicken with Just Like Mama's Mashed Potatoes and lots and lots of veggies. Remember, you want leftover chicken.
Day Two: Let the adventure continue! Take your time and pull every last itty bitty bit of chicken of them bones. You want that chicken skeleton to look like a science project. Toss the chicken in pot with a can of black beans and season with a little cumin, some garlic powder and serve it up with lots of salsa, tortillas, some cheese--whatever turns your key! A great big salad will give you a perfect dinner.
Day Three: The adventure ends--with the skeletal remains finally hitting the stock pot. Throw in the same veggies: onion, carrots and celery, season it with salt, pepper and garlic powder and throw about 3 quarts of water over the top. Cook the daylights out of it and strain. Now make soup or store appropriately. Bet you didn't know one puny chicken had so many meals in it, did you?Remember this is Rubber Chicken, not Miracle Chicken, if you have a big family, you will need to cook more than one chicken to insure leftovers. LOL

Tonight's Dinner:
Something with Ground beef-->Not quite sure yet

Tuesday's Dinner:

Whew

Whew--busy morning:) After I posted this morning, I left to go to the Doctor's, everything went great--I told the Doctor, that I thought, my tummy was really getting big, and he said, you have not seen anything yet--it is going to get a lot bigger...LOL----oh dear;)

Anyway, the other day I saw Martha Stewart make Ginger Tea, and I really wanted to make it, so I asked my doctor if it was okay to drink being pregnant, and he said yes. This is the recipe:

Ginger Tea
Serves 2
One 6-inch piece ginger, skin left on, thinly sliced crosswise, and roughly chopped

Light-brown sugar (optional)

Honey (optional)

1. Combine ginger and 2 cups water in a small saucepan. Place saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes. Remove from heat; strain mixture into a teapot or 2 teacups. Serve with sugar or honey, if desired.
Note: Recipe from "The Martha Stewart Show" TV kitchen

I got everything I needed at the store, plus I got a bird feeder for outside, it is adorable, it is a lilly pad, and you place the seed on it for the birds, I will take a picture of it when I get it hung up.

Moved--->

Oh My--I can not believe I did this---I made such a mess out of my blog today--OOPS!!!

What is that saying, if it isn't broke, don't fix it...LOL-----well, I didn't listen to that saying. Anyway, I am done with moving, hopefully everything works okay-----I can't get my email button right, but I will figure it out.

Also, I added a few blogs that I like to visit, if I missed you and you would like to be added, I would be so happy to add you--also, if I added you and you don't want to be there, I will remove you:) Just let me know.

Now, off to start sorting my laundry--and then on to dinner.

You all have a wonderful Friday Evening xoxox

Switch

Testing

It's Friday--YAY

I love Fridays, especially now that my children are in school---Fridays to me mean that my children will be home with me, and I don't have to take 4 trips back and forth dropping/picking them up. Also, my husband will be home too--yay:)

I had an online Journal through AOL webpages, and then I started one on AOL Journals--then I started one here. I actually did a search for something, and a blog came up---ohhh boy, the blog world was so exciting. Anyway, when I started this blog in July I never thought, of all the wonderful ladies I was going to meet---I am so happy I am here. It is fun to post everyday, because I am one of those people that will look back and say, hmmm, what did I do last year on this day..LOL...and I look it up. Ohhh the comments on this blog are an added plus---I have so much fun talking back and forth with you (You all know who you are) and I also like it when someone new pops in--I just love looking at there blog/website--I am so nosy, I just love looking into the lives of others and learning new things, or learning that things I do aren't as odd as I thought, when I read about someone else has my same quirk.

Also can you believe it took me a few months to realize there was actually a spellcheck here..LOL---boy, do I need that.

I just want to wish everyone a wonderful Friday, and thank you all who come by and leave such sweet comments or just read. (((Gentle Hugs To all my Friends)))

Mopping

Okay, it is the little things that I get excited about---I was at the .99 cents store yesterday getting some squirt bottles, and I saw they had cotton head mops, for .99 cents--oh I was so happy....well, I am going to mop my kitchen floor today, while everyone is at school and work. I mop my floor so many different ways, sometimes, on my hands on knees with a wash cloth, which is getting a little harder in my condition. I also use my swiffer wet mop---and now, I am going to use my new cotton head mop, I am thinking it will be a little easier for me at the moment, since I am a little awkward right now.

The funny thing is I googled a picture for the mop head and would you believe how many websites came up about how to mop a floor--I just had to giggle----kind of like directions on the back of a shampoo bottle:) Well, here is what one website says to do:

How to Mop A Floor:

It's not a fun job, but it has to be done. Here's how to mop your floor so clean you could eat off it.
Instructions
STEP 1: Sweep or vacuum the floor clean of dust and dirt.
STEP 2: Sweep or vacuum a second time. Make sure there is no debris.
STEP 3: Fill a bucket with hot water.
STEP 4: Add a small amount of detergent, ammonia or floor cleaner to the water; the directions on the container should tell you how much to use.
STEP 5: Dip your mop in the bucket.
STEP 6: Wring out the mop using your hands or, depending on the type of mop you are using, with a lever near the mop head.
STEP 7: Scrub the floor in straight lines if you're using a sponge mop. If using a rag mop, swirl the mop head in figure-eight shapes. Push the mop vigorously to remove stains or spots on the floor.
STEP 8: Rinse and wring the mop out in a sink or the bucket occasionally, and continue mopping.
STEP 9: Let the floor dry before walking on it.
Tips & Warnings
If a sponge mop head is becoming crumbly or falling apart, change it. If a rag mop is dirty, rinse it and squeeze it out repeatedly until clean, or toss it in the washing machine as directed.
Some modern floors, such as polyurethane-coated hardwood floors, should not be washed with harsh detergents. Check with your floor covering professional if you have questions.

Now on to Dinner rolls:)

I made dinner Rolls last night. Mrs. Angelena inspired me with hers:)

This is what the dough looks like after the dough cycle in the bread machine has finished (Have I mentioned I love my Bread Machine?)
Then I take the dough and make little rolls and place them on a greased baking sheet
Let them rise--->
Then bake----they are so good--Light and yummy:)

For these rolls I used the recipe, out of my Betty Crocker Bread Machine CookBook:

1 cup Water
2 tablespoons Butter or Margerine
1 egg
3 ¼ cups Bread Flour
¼ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
3 teaspoons quick active dry yeast

1. Place all measured ingredients into bread pan in order listed
2. Select: Dough cycle
3. Remove loaf from pan, divide into 15 equal parts.
4. Cover and let rise, 35 minutes.
5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet. 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
6. Serve Warm

Multi-tasking

Hi there:) Do you multi task? I do, I have to, especially if I want my home running smoothly. Anyway, yesterday, as I was making dinner rolls and cooking the sausage--plus keeping an eye on my daughter, and making sure my doggy was pottied every so often, while listening to the news on the radio, plus running a load of laundry, making sure the dinner salad was made, and the table was set and the trash was taken out--well you get the picture (LOL)--I saw the camera on the kitchen counter--so what do you think I did? I snapped pictures of course;)

Here is the sausage I am cooking in the skillet for dinner---->
Here is the rest of the sausage that I am going to save for another dinner, so what do I do with it?I use my food saver, and then put it in the freezer for later use.

Now on to the dinner roll post----> (which will probably be above this one)

Monday's Dinner:
Italian sausage
Steamed Rice
Steamed Asparagus
Homemade dinner rolls
Salad with all the fixings

Quick Post

I am room mom today, and Alexis has a jog-a-thon also, so I will be there supporting her run and taking pictures---She is very excited, and reminded me this morning she has to have a big breakfast, because she is going to be running.

Thank you all for looking at the picture of my tummy---the picture does not look as big as I feel...LOL. This time is going by so fast too--soon enough, my precious little boy will be in my arms.

I will be back later this afternoon, I took a whole bunch of pictures yesterday---it was fun--so my next posts will be about how I multi-task in the kitchen and jog-a-thons---woohoo:)
You all have a Wonderful Tuesday xoxox be back soon!

Happy, Happy Weekend!!!

Friday Dinner:
Spaghetti and Meatballs
Salad

Oh, I am so happy it is Friday-----I love it when everyone is home safe and sound. It turned so cold today, living in California practically my entire life, I don't think it has ever been this cold as it has this past winter. What is on your agenda for the weekend? Mine is just staying home, cooking, baking, cleaning, playing with my children, reading, staying warm--and just enjoying my family. I will post my picture of my tummy sometime this weekend--Kevin is watching the news, so I will have him take the picture tomorrow--I tried taking a picture, but I can't get it right..LOL. I will also have to go to the grocery store at some point this weekend--and also to Walmart, I need some beauty products:) Well, I just stopped here to make a quick post--I have some things to do before bed time, which seems to come earlier since I am pregnant...LOL. Have a lovely weekend and stay warm xoxox

A Huge Ramble:)

Good Morning! First of all, I can not believe I did not post yesterday---total mommy pg brain--oops. Yesterday at 8:00 a.m. Alexis had her Dentist appointment to have her tooth fixed--it looks great, I will take a picture of her pretty teeth. I am a total teeth fanatic---I could never go without brushing my teeth--I have to have that smooth feeling and fresh breath. I always have mints in my purse, just in case I get a funny taste taste in my mouth. Another thing, my toenails are painted red, and as I was in the shower this morning, I noticed I need to re-do them--so tonight, I will take the polish off and re-paint them, so they look really pretty. Even if you, where shoes and think that no one can see your toes--your hubby can at night, when your shoes come off, plus I feel so much better when I have it together, kwim? hair washed, perfume, makeup put on nicely, clothes clean and not stained. Okay, yes, I admit it--I am 100% girly girl--and I love being a girl..LOL;)

Next, here is a picture of my Beef Jerky all finished--it came out really good. I made sure there wasn't any fat on the meat--the fat does not dry right and it makes the jerky look icky.

I was listening to the news, and and there was a segment about Tom Cruise wanting/making his wife into a stepford wife--I had to giggle---I want to be a stepford wife, and was thinking what is wrong with that..LOL--okay, I guess, I am just really odd.

I am going to try and take a picture of my tummy--if I can't I will ask Kevin--either way, I will post a picture of my tummy---you won't believe how big and round my tummy is--I am small--about 5 feet, so it really shows--I have a feeling my baby, is going to be really big---bigger then my last two--I am not complaining, I am just so anxious to meet my son:) My precious son. Speaking of my son, we need to decide on a name. These are the names, I have come up with:

Ethan
Noah
Ryan
Evan
Tristan
Jace
Nathaniel

What do you think, and also what boy names do you like? My husband wanted to add Gunner to the list, I just couldn't do it..LOL.

I also can not remember what dinner meals I posted up too--so I am going to post what we had last night:

Wednesday Dinner:
Homemade breaded chicken strips<---Those went fast,
Egg noodles--with butter and salt and pepper,
Green beans,
Salad--with all the fixings
Thursday Dinner:
Something Mexican--I have ground beef defrosting, so I will post more when I know exactly what I come up with.

Okay, yesterday, I worked a lot on detail cleaning the downstairs--I dusted all the pictures, and washed all my dishtowels and wash rags. I sanitized the toilets with bleach and just made everything sparkle and clean. I usually keep up with my laundry, but the last few days I was a little lax, so I am going to do a few loads of laundry--and of course vacuum--and what ever else comes to mind. sometimes, I just start doing something and it leads into something else, so we shall see where this day leads me. You all have a super Thursday to all those that have stopped by to visit and actually read this far. I apologize for such a long ramble;) xoxox

Beef Jerky

I have written in an earlier post about my dehyderator--here is a picture of it. It is over ten years old, and still holding strong. I marinated some meat, and this is the recipe I used-->Beef Jerky RecipeThis is the meat in the dehyderator already to go---it will take about 8 hours to dry--when it is finished I will take a picture of the finished product. My family really loves it, especially my son:)
These are some herbs I had dried out--Bay leaves and Dill-----I buy bunches of Dill and dry it, that way I will always have it, and I use a lot of it, especially in homemade ranch dressing. As you can see, I need to get some more dill.

Valentine's Decorations

It is beginning to look a lot like Valentine's day:)

Around the Kitchen Table

Friday Dinner:
Grill Night
Ribs
Catfish<---for me--good brain food for the baby:) Shrimp Baked potatoes with butter and sour cream Corn on the Cob---> The best corn you will ever eat is cooked on the grill--yummy
Salad with all the fixings<---plus, I made ranch dressing. Now I have to give credit to my husband, he did the grilling and he picked out the menu. After dinner I had a phone call that I had to take---after the phone call, I came down to a clean kitchen, my husbnad cleaned it all up<---Bless his heart:) Saturday Dinner:
Fun Dinner
Kevin bought takeout:
Mexican for him
and subway for us--I had a veggie sandwich--->Pregnant women should stay away from lunch/deli meat----(possible lysteria)

Sunday Dinner:
Pork Roast
Roasted Potatoes
Steamed asparagus
Salad

Those were my menus that I had not posted.

Friday, I am room mom, and as I was about to go in to Alexis's school--I get a call, Alexis had fallen on her face and hurt her teeth---oh, boy, I flew down to her school, and went straight to our dentist--he x-rayed--to make sure she had not damaged anything-----she chipped half her front tooth off----so on Wednesday he will re-cap it--yes, I said recap it--she chipped it once before-----I know it is only a baby tooth, but she is five and the dentist says she has another good year before she will loose that tooth-----so on Wednesday, she gets a new cap---the total cost is about 400.00---but with our insurance it will only be 50.00 out of pocket, which I think is great.

This morning, I picked up cards for Alexis for Valentines Day--she is busy writing all her classmates names on them. I also bought some new decorations to make the house festive--I just love Holidays.

I also am going to marinade some meat over night, for homemade beef jerky--which I will post about tomorrow, with pictures. I love my dehyderater, I can't even tell you how old it is--over ten years at least. Okay, well, I have things to do---make sure Kevin's clothes are all ready for the new week----You all have a very Blessed and Warm Sunday, it is cold, brrrrr, xoxoxox.

The Weather

Remember, how beautiful the weather had been here---really warm and summer like. I told you it was going to change--look at what I see outside of my window, brrrrrrrr--it is cold, I mean really cold. I am not saying that this weather is not beautiful too, it is just beautful in a very different kind of way....LOL;)

Thursday Dinner:
Chicken and Dumplings<----A good winter dish for this cold day (brrrr)
Salad

I had mentioned I was going to go shopping today--I was, I really was--but plans have changed, I may go tomorrow, but I also am room mom in my daughter's class tomorrow--so I am not sure---I just may wait until the weekend--my husband loves to go shopping, so we shall see--stay warm xoxox

My Pasta Salad

I love pasta salad. My husband is not fond of mayonnaise, he will eat it if it is hidden, like in Ranch dressing or deviled eggs--so in honor of my Darling Husband I made this pasta salad with an Italian dressing--and not a touch of Mayo. I, on the other hand LOVE mayo--if I was stranded on a desert island just give me a supply of mayo..;) NEVER MIRACLE WHIP, BLECH Pasta Salad:
Bow Tie Pasta
Black Olives
Shredded Carrots
Sliced celery
Shredded Cheeses--I used mozzarella cheese in this one
Italian dressing

Use how ever much of each ingredient you like---or other things you like, my step mom adds broccoli to hers--you can add any veggie on hand, spinach is good too:)

Won Tons (great recipe)

I love to cook with Won Tons. Over at the Prairie Homemaker, a lovely lady posted a recipe for these Won Ton Chicken cups--of course I had to try it:) I did tweak the recipe a bit, instead of chicken I used left over pork. I also did not use quite as much salsa, maybe a third of what was called for. They came out so good, and they went fast.

Wonton Chicken Cups ( Mexican Taco style)
36 wonton wrappers
1 pound chicken breasts ( boneless , skinless) cut them into 1 inch pieces
1 onion chopped
taco seasoning one envelope
1 jar 16 ounces salsa divided
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese divided
chopped green onion, sour cream, chopped ripe olives, chopped tomatoes and shredded lettuce ( optional)
Sprinkle chicken with taco seasoning. In cast iron skillet or skillet with olive oil, cook and stir chicken over medium heat for 5 minutes until chicken juices run clear. Chop chicken with food processor or by hand until chopped. In a medium bowl combine chicken, onion, half the salsa and 1 cup cheese. Press wonton wrappers into miniature muffin cups coated with nonstick spray or we use olive oil in a pump. Bake at 375 for 5 minutes or until lightly brown. Spoon rounded tablespoons of chicken mixture into cups, top with remaining salsa and cheese. Bake 15 minutes longer or until heated through. Serve warm. We garnish with green onions , sometimes sour cream, shredded lettuce etc. This will make you about 3 dozen and will freeze good.

Wonderful Wednesday!

Good Morning!!! Happy Wednesday to all who stop by. As you can see, I was not able to post more last night, and then my Dear Grandmother called and said she needs to go shopping today--so I am off to the market with my Grandmother--she needs Milk and other things. My shopping day for my groceries will be tomorrow, so I will be making my list and checking sales tonight. You all have a great day, and I will be back soon xoxox
Stay warm--it is chilly today:)

Naughty Blogger

I couldn't post this morning when I wanted too--blogger was closed and wouldn't let me on--so the post I have floating in my head, will have to wait just a little bit. If I finish everything I need to, I may make another post tonight---if I don't get back here tonight, I will do it tomorrow, unless blogger won't let me on again due to maintenance---what is maintenance anyway? What do they do? I think it is just a ploy for me to switch to their newer version---LOL. Have a good night xoxox See you either later tonight, or tomorrow morning friends:D

Oh, What a Beautiful Day!

It was 80 degrees today!! It was so nice and warm, I opened up all my windows, and let the home soak in the fresh air. I cleaned my hummingbird feeder and re-filled it. Then I started on my windows---I used vinegar/water and crumpled newspaper---now trust me, there was no way I could do all the windows, but I did the ones downstairs that I could reach:) I dusted and cleaned the livingroom, vacuumed. Last night I really detail cleaned my room--so it is looking rather lovely. I went on to the kitchen, cleaned the refrigerator(it is all ready for my big shopping trip on Thursday), wiped everything down, mopped the floor--oh everything is so nice and clean--it feels like spring---LOL--I know I am way ahead of myself on that one, but it did feel like summer today--now if only I had a tan. A tan will have to wait, until after the baby is born. I made a nice dinner, and Alexis set the table up for me----all radios and T.V.'s were shut off, and we had a nice family meal. Now, the dishes are done, everything is put in it's place, and I am sitting here, writing. I really feel pregnant today--and I am getting the feeling that this is going to be a really big baby--I can not wait:)

Monday's Dinner:
Italian sausage
Steamed rice with some cheese
Corn on the Cobb<----To go with the summer theme today.
Nice Green Salad with all the fixings

p.s. I did try to blog earlier today but blogger wasn't playing nice again for me--oops;)

Sunday's are Wonderful

Happy Sunday everyone. Today is a very nice day, the weather is really nice too. Kevin has requested Nachos for dinner--not really what I like to make for Sunday dinner, but it is what he wants--so that is what I will make. A very easy dinner, don't you think? My family just loves Mexican food--I think my husband could eat it every day, with a steak mixed in the menu. I am making my list for things I want to accomplish during the week, somethings that are fun and somethings that aren't so fun----Example: Fun= making a cake, Not-So-Fun= Cleaning toilets.

I have this strange feeling that my baby is going to be a big one---There is no question now, that I look pregnant--I am all tummy----and the precious little kicks are are very noticeable and happen a lot which makes me smile:)

Oh, well, I will close for now--just wanted to make a short post---until tomorrow, have a wonderful and peaceful Sunday xoxoxox

Motivation

Do you ever need motivation? I think we all do at times. I woke up this morning, with my list of things I wanted to accomplish today--but first I made some coffee with hazelnut (yes it is decaf right now)...and I sat down to read the news and check emails on the computer--and like always, I like to check the Prairie Homemaker Forum----ohhh, I just love that site. Well if you look in the homekeeping section, they have a bunch of threads to motivate you to get up and do things in the home--plus there is also a kitchen section if you are in need of dinner ideas---anyway, I just adore that site and the ladies that post there are so sweet and kind. I just wish I had more time to read and participate. I have my quilt in the dryer, so I have to go get that out and start a new load--I finished cleaning the kitchen this morning---so after the bedding, I am going to go over the bathrooms to make sure they still sparkle---have a Sensational Saturday everyone xoxoxox

Saturday Dinner:
Pork Chops
Baked Potatoes
Green Beans
Salad
Dinner Rolls

A few thoughts for today

Yesterday, I had written a post about the weather---the jist of the post was it was in the 70's and I opened all my windows to air the home out--and I wanted a tan...LOL.

Today it is back to being cold, really cold--how odd--one day very warm, the next very cold.

Tonight's dinner is going to be pizza----YAY!!! Not delivery pizza, but homemade pizza----I use my bread machine to knead the pizza dough, and then the fun begins with topping the pizza--I make one just cheese, and the other one loaded. If you are in need of a really awesome pizza/dough recipe---> go here------>Homemade Pizza. I love her website, and I have never had a recipe fail from her site:) (Plus it is an adorable website)

Also, I cleaned the living room today---I think it must be the most used room in the entire house, and needs TLC everyday. I am also, going to work on my kitchen with a little extra care today--since dinner is easy, I am going to do a little extra cleaning--wiping everything down to make my kitchen sparkle.

Another thought, that crosses my mind---Valentine's Day is coming up----I usually put hearts all around the house--I will be anxious to read what other people are doing to make this day special. The kids get cards and candy---I will make heartshaped cookies, etc...oh I just love the Holidays, especially now, the holidays are just making this pregnancy whiz by..LOL.

I was listening to the news and Dr. Laura was on promoting her new book--> "The Proper Care & Feeding of Marriage". Now, I have my opinions of her, I just take the advice that I agree with and leave the rest..LOL--anyway, just curious if anyone has read any of her books or will be reading this one. It looks interesting, and she had some good ideas on her interview--I really liked it when she said, does your husband come home to a smiling, nicely dressed wife, or does he come home to someone looking sloppy? Does he wake up in the morning excited to start his day, because he knows he has you to come home too--or would he rather stay at the office where the women are happy and take care of themselves?

Last but not least, I added a search button to my sidebar--pretty nifty, huh? LOL---I told you, I would get this blog thing down...LOL-----Now, access to all my posts should be easier, especially if you are looking for a post I made a long time ago for the most wonderful Ranch Salad dressing:)

I have always said, I don't like posts that lead into novels, oops--I guess I just outdid myself..LOL---sometimes, when I am talking I do the same thing--I can be quite chatty...LOL--anyway, I will close for now and publish this post--hoping you all have a Terrific Thursday!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxox

Whoops!!!

Blogger was not playing nice yesterday--I made a post and it didn't show up. This happened once before, but eventually the post showed up--I guess the post I made yesterday, is floating in cyberland..LOL--oh well:)

To be continued later, with a much better post:) Happy Thursday everyone xoxo

Calendar, Books and Dinner

Since it is the beginning of the month, I need to put up my January Calendar and mark important dates to remember through the month. Plus, since today is Tuesday (also the first day back to school) I am going to help out in Alexis's class today, and I know she will be making a January calendar--that will go on my fridge.

On Sunday, I had to go to the store and pick up a bag of black eyed peas, for News Years Day--I don't believe in the luck--it has just beome a tradition now to eat them:) There is a used book store right next to the store, that was calling me to enter..LOL--since it was Sunday, the kids were home with Daddy, and I was by myself--perfect moment to look in the bookstore--ohhhh they had a buy one get one free sale--I spent a total of 7 dollars and got 4 books.

A couple years ago, when we moved I did something that I so regret now, and think back to then, and wonder what the heck was going through my head at the time--well, I was trying to save money on the moving van-and I was getting rid of so much stuff, so the truck would not charge us too much--I go rid of my set of the Little House books--ugh---I just cringe when I think about that--well, anyway---at the bookstore, I found three of the books, so I snagged them right up, and for my fourth book, I got Fascinating Womanhood by Helen Andelin. They are having another buy one get one free sale in February, so I will go back, and see what other books I can find.

The weather has warmed up a bit, since Christmas--it was so cold, now it is not so bad--kind of makes you want to start a garden..LOL---oh, I wish I could, everything I plant either dies or grows out of control--I will try tomatoes again--I just say over to myself, I can do it, I can do it...LOL.
Now onto Dinner:

Tuesday's Dinner:

Spaghetti and Meatballs
Green Salad
Garlic bread
