Dinner Time:

For Dinner we had :
Hamburger Pie
Steamed Veggies
Fresh Green Salad

This is the Pie before I put it in the oven-->

Steamed veggies in my steamer--->

...and my fresh green salad. I have cheese to sprinkle on it on the side--->

Here is the Pie out of the oven--->

Hamburger Pie

Hamburger pie:

Cook the ground beef in a frying pan until it is done, put aside, satay an onion until it is golden brown--add to the ground beef---I sprinkle some Montreal steak seasoning and *W* sauce on the meat.

Then I made a cheese sauce, exactly the kind of cheese sauce you would make for macaroni and Cheese-- (Butter, milk, flour and cheese)

I had a crust in my fridge that I put in a pie plate and I made a pretty edge--you can use store bought crust or make your own. I had a store bought handy.

Put meat into the pie shell--and pour cheese sauce on the meat--or you can mix the meat and sauce before you add it--whichever. Then I sprinkled a whole bunch of Cheddar cheese on top and baked it in the oven until the top was golden brown:)

Earthquake*

Now that is what I call an Earthquake--it shook everything. I was in my car at a red light when all of a sudden my car was shaking--I totally thought my idle was off on my car, I pulled into the Grocery store/Bank--and a lot of stuff had fallen off the shelves in the store and Alexis was saying, "Mommy, did you hear everyone talking?--it wasn't our car it was Earthquake"--then my cell phone started ringing, it was Kevin--he felt it too and he was in San Diego about an hour from San Clemente--5.4 earthquake--whew--Hope everyone is okay.

I am checking in to let everyone know I am just fine!!!
Quarter of a million people felt it--WoW!!!!

I am right in Between Los Angeles and San Diego---I can't even tell you how many earthquakes I have been in. I will tell you something though, The tornado sirens in Georgia scares me more then an earthquake--how about you?

Thank you all for checking on me ((Hugs)))

11 Weeks Tomorrow

I was thinking it would be fun to take a photo each week of my tummy--and watch me grow...My daughter took these for me----I am going to remember each week and ask my hubby to do it--hopefully he will get my face in it--my daughter did a good try--I told her to make sure she got my tummy--and she kept forgetting to get my face in it too...LOL. That is okay--you all know what I look like--anyway this is my tummy today--it is a small bulge--I turn 11 weeks tomorrow--so I think I will do it each Wednesday:)

~~Happiness~~

Happy Tuesday

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone is all recharged from the weekend. We had a lovely weekend. Today is Monday so my to do list in my sidebar is going to start over, and I have to figure out a new menu---and this is going to be fun with all my new kitchen gadgets. Thank you all for all my birthday wishes, they were very special to me coming from all my blogging friends that I have *Spoke* with for a while now. Before I started writing this blog--I use to write on the AOL journal--and before that I use to write on paper--this is far more the most fun writing on this blog. I have met so many inspiring wonderful women--I have learned so much more about the Bible, I have learned so many great homekeeping tips and so many other fun and wonderful things! The first blog I ever encountered was Tammy's Blog--Tammy's Times, and then soon after I found Kelli's Blog and then I was so thrilled I found Mrs. U's Blog, we started at the same time so our blogs grew together as well as our friendship--then it just branched out and I have so many blogs that I just adore--Thank you all for writing and sharing your life with me---it is a very special part of my day coming here and being able to read your blog and share a little bit about myself too. I started this blog while I was still in Georgia----since then, we have moved back to San Clemente, California, I had another baby and now I am pregnant again....WoW!! I have friends here, around me--I have had one friend for about 20 years and we are just so different now--totally different lives--she is single with no children and I am totally the opposite--I have another very close friend, but she is a lot different too, she is in a lot of my pictures that I share--she is always there for me, and I love her dearly...:). My sister, she likes to argue a lot..LOL--not with just me, but with EVERYONE--so, I have to take her in small doses--my other sister lives in Chicago with her family--she is such a happy little thing too--I talk with her on the phone. Both my sister's are older then me. I have met a lot of wonderful Mom's through my kid's school--they are very diverse in everything--some agree with my views, some don't. My point is that I just love that I have met so many women HERE, that share my views--oh, how I wish you all were my neighbors:)))

Today, Little Kevin has a *Well Baby* Checkup--when I get back I will share his stats with all of you:) Also, I am going to do my hair one more time with the cetaphil--I did Alexis's hair and I just want to make sure I got all my bases covered--Oh, I sure don't want to go through all this washing again...LOL.

I had a few questions from you about the fryer--I used it and it worked GREAT--we made Hot wings, chicken strips, french fries and breaded pork strips--everything came out really good---I have note tried Onion rings yet--as soon as I do, I will post my review on those. I did not have any problem with sticking yet. It used a lot of oil and I think oil is more expensive then Gas right now--I used almost a whole container of a 64 ounce container of oil--I had about 1/4 left.

Happy Monday!

Saturday Updates!

Happy Saturday!
This has been a super fun and busy week. Thursday was my birthday and I have to say my husband spoiled me completely.
I would love to share the gifts that I recieved--they really are something.

I recieved this beautiful boquet of flowers---they are just soooo pink:) This was from my sister and her family.

Look at this cake--it is an ice cream cake--my dear sweet husband walked through the door with this--->
Then he had these presents for me. I have to tell you a little story--when he came home the day before, I had my new crockpot out that my grandma had bought me and I was using it---he said--OH NO!!! He had bought the same crockpot ---so he told me to take it back and get something else--so I took the crock pot back and used the money to buy some pretty Under things--so those gifts are not pictured--but he did get me a beautiful crockpot along with these gifts too--I just already had that crockpot:)
..a deep fryer--we used this last night and it fries beautifully. Kevin knows I am not a fan of frying so he thought this would take care of the greasy mess--and it does:) I don't think it has made it healthier but that is okay.
...a new knife set---with TWO sets of scissors.
..a big cutting board--I like how it looks on my island
..a food processor--I was playing with this yesterday--oh it is so much fun--I had a small one, but never got around to getting a bigger one. I love this one. I am going to need some recipes or hints and tips about this one.
...My husband also took all of us out to dinner---I got to pick the restaurant--I picked this nice family restaurant---- I also received this Pajama Gram in the mail, from my inlaws--the pajamas are so cute--it comes with a sachet and this beautiful box. I received money from my Father and Grandmother--which is always nice.

This was a really wonderful birthday and I can't believe all the nice things I received, I truly was not expecting all this ---I am so very thankful. Did I mention, I am know officially 38---yay!!!!

Do you all remember a couple days back I said I was going to stay home and do a big clean?? Well, it did not happen--I did something else--I took my kids to the beach--YES, I FOUGHT the crowds and went to the beach--it was glorious. I remember before children I spent countless hours and days at the beach---then I took them to Baskin Robbins and got them ice cream. So, now today is Saturday and I am so behind on my chores----I am going to do a super big clean today which consists of scrubbing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, laundry--and so on. Wish me luck ...LOL--I will of course be taking breaks and visiting all of you wonderful ladies---what is going on with your Saturday? I so wish it would rain--I miss the Thunderstorms in Georgia------is it raining anywhere? I did a search once and looked up where it rains the most in the 48 contiguous states and told Kevin , we have to move there...LOL--It was Mobile Alabama...lol anyone there? Does it rain a lot there? Anyway, I think I have chatted enough----Happy Saturday!!

(Click on Logo)

Kelli at There is No Place Like Home, is hosting her Show and Tell---it is a wonderful Meme, so hop on over to her lovely blog and join in the fun! Thank you Kelli!

Today I am going to show you a little bird. She belonged to my Grandmother---my mother's mother--I never met her, she passed away before I was born--but this little bird sat on my Great mother's dresser, My Mother's Grandmother--did you understand that...LOL--well anyway, I used to play with it when I small, very small about 4 or 5--my Great Grandmother gave it to me--While My Great Grandmother, Grandmother and Mother are no longer here--I open up that little wing and smell the sweet smell of the perfume and for a moment it brings me back to those days:)
See how the little wing opens?

Thank you so much for visiting my Show and Tell!

Feminine Friday

(Click on Logo)

For Feminine Friday I am going to share some of my makeup. When I was a teenager I wore A LOT of Makeup--I even went to beauty school--and that is all we did was play with beauty products. Beauty school was a lot of fun and a great learning experience, but it was something I wouldn't want to do for a living, but I am glad I did it. When I met my husband I was all natural, and then one not AFTER we were married we were going dancing and just for fun I put some makeup on--and my sweet husband loved it. So now, I put on a little makeup--and you know what, it makes me feel even more feminine...LOL. So here is a picture of some of my makeup--some new, some not so new--liner, eyeshadow, lip gloss, lip color--and mascara--I like to play with my lash curler and all those fun things they have for us women---I love to do facials, manicure and pedicures. I keep all my makeup in a pretty basket.

Thank you so much for visiting my Feminine Friday. Please hop on over to Kelly's Blog---> Barefoot Mama and join in the fun. Thank you so much for hosting this awesome Meme, Kelly!!!

Wednesday Update!

Yesterday afternoon, I took the kids to the Mall--yes the Mall--it was Tuesday so the crowds were not that bad--there were actually a lot of moms like me with there kids and strollers. Those of you that know me, or have been reading here a while, know, I am not a big fan of the Mall--correction, I am not a fan of the prices at the Mall--I am a Walmart/Target kind a gal...LOL. My daughter just adores the mall and I understand, because when I was a young girl I loved the mall too--and when I was a teenager my friends and I spent countless hours there--I even worked at that Mall when I was 16...<----was that a run on sentence or what...:::giggle::: We had lunch at the Food Court---then we went into this one store and they were having a SALE on Webkinz--I actually got 2 for 15 dollars---if you are familiar with Webkinz, you will know that is an awesome price! Then we went on to Build a Bear and bought her *Dog* a new bathing suit, underwear and cell phone--then we went into other stores and just looked, also, Little Kevin enjoyed the glass elevator----THEN----I forgot OLD NAVY is in the Mall---have you ever been to Old Navy--I forget about this store--but the (most)prices are just as low as Walmart--and I also did not relaize they have a Maternity section--Look what I bought--->

This blouse is so much prettier then what the picture shows--it is so light and flowing

..and then these Capris--yes, I know it is not a skirt---I do wear jeans and capris occasionally, and I just fell in love with these----->

..and I loved the price--on sale woohoo!

...okay, then we got home, I made dinner--we had Tacos. So today, I am going to do housework and I have to do the follow up shampoo on my daughter--actually Kevin will do it for me when he gets home. I am slow cooking my Spaghetti Sauce with the meatballs for tonight's dinner. I have to scrub my shower--it is getting a little icky.

Happy Wednesday!!

My *BIG* Sunglasses

I took this picture myself--don't you just love the look...LOL. I kept forgetting to ask my husband to take the picture--so here are my sunglasses--aren't they big? It is okay if you don't like them, I get teased about my choice of sunglasses from my friends--it is okay, I love them!!!

Wordless Wednesday!

This Week!

Happy Monday. It is Monday--YAY. Did you know on Thursday, I will be turning 38---38??!!??? I sure don't feel 38--I remember when my Dad was 38, I thought he was so old...LOL--but then again I was only 12. My husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday, and I said, I already have it :::wink::: as I patted my tummy!

Anyway, lots to do this week---I have worked so hard on this laundry--I have finally gotten a handle on it. As for the lice, Kevin is clear, I am clear--the baby is clear--and thank goodness Tony is in Washington--he would not have handled this very well, he has an extremely tender head. Alexis is still being very good through all the combing---Yesterday, when I went through her hair---very minimal findings---No eggs just some dead lice.
Well, I am going to go make the kids breakfast--see you in a few!

Ohh, my sunglasses broke, so I got a new pair--I am going to take a picture of me in my new sunglasses--I love *BIG* lenses--and these are huge...LOL--I love them!

I want to be a *Walton*...LOL :o)

Happy Sunday!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday. It is a beautiful day here--it is not hot at all here---I was finally able turn the A/C off and open all the windows--letting fresh air in:)

Not too much going on here--I am contemplating going to the store--I do have a list going that keeps getting longer--we went yesterday--but that was with my husband, and he picked up a bunch of fun foods--not things we needed...LOL.

Little Kevin is napping right now, and Kevin and Alexis went to the movies--so it is just me at the moment-- contemplating what to do :)

I am so not a movie person--I can not sit still for that long of a period---I am thinking the last movie I saw at the theatre was Castaway? Not sure.

Happy Sunday!

*Motivation*

Do you ever need some motivation in the kitchen----when I feel a slump coming on I look at some websites that get me going--this one in particular I just love---Steph's Country Kitchen Goodness--I have this website in my sidebar--but just in case it got overlooked I am putting it in a post. If you take a look, you will not be disappointed.

Also, I am going to do some canning---I am going to make pickles (Dill, not sweet) and tomato sauce---do any of you have tips or links that have helped you? I need all the help I can get.

Ohhh, for those of you following my check arrivals--they all came!!! I am so happy:) I do not like money--but on the other hand I love money--Ahhhh...LOL:)

Oh and last but not least, what motivates you?

(Little House on the TV in the background always helps me..::Giggles:::)

Friday Update!

Well, I managed to play both Memes today--I wasn't sure if I was going to be able too. So please go to the two posts below and check them out. Both blogs are just so wonderful to visit--very inspiring and motivating--There Is No Place Like Home and Barefoot Mama.

Now on to my laundry--I am laundered out...LOL. I have done so much laundry and I keep redoing it. I need to go pick up some more vacuum bags too. Every morning, I put our bed pillows in the dryer for 20 minutes and I rewash all the bedding every morning--along with all the other laundry---blankets, everyday clothes--and towels.

My Grandmother has her Doctor coming to her home for her checkup, so she is going to get her hearing aides next week. I also promised Alexis a new WEBKINZ--so I will get her one of those today--she has been such a trooper through all of this. Poor dear, she sits so nice while I comb and re comb her hair--Kevin asked me to run the comb through his hair last night--he has a lot of hair too. Also, remember how I stated I could not find
Lice Md--well some one from Lice Md was reading my blog and emailed me where I can find all there products--how cool was that--::::::Waiving:::::: Thank you, Tracy!

Not much else is going on--except for this:) Clean, laundry---re clean, re laundry--and so on! Well, it is Friday--you all have a wonderful day:)
Oh, I have to stop at the store and get something for dinner--I am also going to buy some cream cheese so I can make the
Banana Bread--Kelli made and posted--it looks wonderful!

Show and Tell Friday!

Kelli at There Is No Place Like Home, is hosting *Show and Tell Friday* Please go over to Kelli's and add your link to her Mr. Linky and show something of yours and visit new blogs too. She has all the rules posted there for you:) Thank you, as always for hosting this--I have found many wonderful blogs through this Meme!.

Some of you know I collect cows--so I am going to show a cow of mine. My Sister in Law gave this to me--isn't she just darling--she is a bank too. She sits in my kitchen along with a few of my other cows.
Thank you so much for vising my *Show and Tell* Have a wonderful Friday!

Feminine Friday!

(Click on Logo)

Today is Friday so that means it is *Meme* time. This Friday I am going to show you two things that complete a feminine look--some accessories. First of all this purse--isn't it just so purty--it is so soft too--and I can fit a lot of stuff in it--it has a matching wallet, key chain and cell phone holder. It is clean---and neat. I was telling Kevin I needed a new purse, and I just could not find the right one---I was looking everywhere---I had an idea of what I wanted, then one day my sister came over with this purse that she had gotten and decided she didn't like it, so she gave it to me brand new, still with tags--what a nice gift.--Well, I love it---- Now on to shoes---remember I said last week to keep your feet nice looking with a home pedicure--well after that nice pedicure--put some pretty feminine sandals on, not some kind of manly shoes, but a girly shoe:)
This is to show the slight heel they have--I love these sandals and they go with all my dresses.
Thank you so much for coming over to visit my *Feminine Friday*---PLEASE, go over to Kelly's Blog--Barefoot Mama, and join in--she has the rules posted and a MR. Linky of all the other people that are playing--so add your link and show us your Feminine side:) Thank you Kelly for hosting this! I adore being a girl.

*Quarantined*

Yes---we are Quarantined for a few days--no playdates, or being around other children. I have got TONS to do.

I had to take my grandmother shopping yesterday---and my daughter wanted to go swimming with Emma--so my sister said drop her off on my way to Grandma's----after about two hours of errands we got back to my Grandmother's and there was a frantic call on the answering machine---my heart sunk----I was thinking the worst--well it turns out my sister found some lice on my daughter's head--and was literally freaking out----she said I had to pick up my daughter NOW!!!---Okay, there was an epidemic of Lice at my daughter's school a few months ago, and I washed my daughter's head and she was cleared to go back to school---there was this one little girl that just could not get rid of it--so I am thinking that is where my daughter got it--of course my sister would never admit to her daughter giving it to my daughter--that is okay--in the meantime, my sister is mad and she is using a not so nice tone with me--so I get home---I call my pediatrician and he tells me exactly what to do----I go out and buy a comb called the terminator---and buy special shampoo and spray and all that fun stuff----anyway, since I am pregnant, I can't use Rid on myself--so the Doctor told me to put Cetaphil on my hair and let it sit for 8 hours and then use a comb--Kevin didn't see any on my head but I am not taking any chances--I have bagged up all her stuffed animals---I washed bedding last night, and I am rewashing bedding this morning---I have spent numerous hours coming through her long locks.

My vision is not the best so I am using a strong light, magnifying glass and the help of my husband to make sure I am getting everything. I am scrubbing and vacuuming my house from top to bottom. The pediatrician recommended LiceMd to use, he said it was more gentle then Rid--I could not find LiceMd anywhere...so we ended up using Rid on Alexis, and Kevin looked through little Kevin's and saw nothing--you can't do anything with babies except pick it out----Hopefully I can get a handle on this---with all our hair this is rather a lot of work. My sister wants to know why I am not upset---why should I get upset--this is a common problem with children and if it is the worst that happens to my kids I think we are okay :o)

In the meantime, my grandmother's hearing aides came in and they want me to come and pick them up at 4:30---I am going to have to reschedule for tomorrow, there is no way I can go in the mess I am in--plus, she does have a back up pair--I am sure she will understand.

In the meantime---just in case you are curious, I got my stimulus--YAY--but not the other check--still waiting on that one.
Ohhhh---and last night's dinner---Kevin gave me the night off of cooking--He went to Pizza Kitchen, and got a pizza, veggie calzones, Jalapeno poppers and hot wings---ohhh dinner was good and no mess for me to clean up.
Tonight I am making bacon and avocado burgers with a green salad:)

Tuesday--Catch Up!

Okay, so yesterday did not go quite as planned. I took my daughter over to my sister's house, to play with Emma, and she was going to take them to the petting zoo--then when Uncle Bob came came home from work he takes the girls swimming and he is working on Alexis's swimming lessons--he is a great swimmer, and really the only one I trust to do this. Then I had to go to the grocery store and buy some odds and ends--coffee and cheese---I made hamburgers with satay'ed mushrooms and noodles with oil and garlic with a green salad---it was really only for the two Kevin's-- Big Kevin had everything and little Kevin ate some of the veggies from the salad--like the tomatoes--isn't that funny he eats tomatoes...LOl.... then he had some noodles and for dessert they had Otter Pops. Do any of you buy Otter Pops--they are an absolute necessity in our home--they are my husbands favorite. So on to my laundry--I still have a lot of laundry--I need to do it all--but then the sun comes out and my little pool calls us out side---I posted some pictures of my kids in the pool--I took those pictures, I think on Saturday--cute, huh?

My Grandmother does not want to go shopping today, she wants to wait until she gets all the sale ads in the mail and then she will make her list--which is probably good, because, I need to play catch up at home.

The picture of the washing machine in the post below is not mine, I wish it was----I just thought it was so neat--it was probably similar to something my Grandma had.

Also, I have been informed my poll is not working--I guess that site is down for now--if it doesn't start working soon, I am going to take it down--but I see that Fall seems to be the favorite:)

He knows how to splash...LOL. When I am not taking pictures, I get in the pool too...LOL.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Monday!

Laundry Day!(isn't that washer fantastic?)
Today I am going to be working on my laundry. I have quite a few loads to catch up on. Yesterday was Father and Daughter day--the Baseball team, the Atlanta Braves (Remember my husband is Georgia Boy)were playing out here against the Padres. Kevin asked if I would like to go---No way...LOL--I am so not into sports---it is fun for about the first half hour and then after that--I want to go home--and then I would be holding a wiggly baby---why would I put myself through that....anyway, he took Alexis--and as I hear it, they had, Hotdogs, french fries, snow cones, and cotton candy---oh my!!...LOL

After the baby woke up up from his nap--I filled the pool up and we sat in it together and we played while I tried to soak up some sun---while I can still fit in my bathing suit.

We had a very nice weekend, I hope you all did too. Still no checks---let me clarify something from my last post---I know that the stimulus checks are being delivered by SS numbers, and my husband's happens to be last---I was trying to explain, that we filed as soon as we got his w2's and we filed through H and R block rapid refund (turbo I think) which was a third party, so instead of getting our stimulus direct deposit in May, we have to wait for the paper check. That check I know will come soon--it is the other check that is trying my patience----I am working on my gentleness---I really am:)

In my side bar, I put up a poll about seasons--it looks like Fall is ahead--it is my absolute favorite season--I love it. I can not wait to put *Fred* back outside--remember my Scarecrow.
I am going to work on my laundry today--and Alexis has a playdate today too. Tony called me and he is having a nice time---I don't want to harp on him while he is away, but I sure hope he shaves that beard off. I will probably go to my Grandmother's tomorrow because I have not been there since Thursday--and I am sure her grocery list is growing.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and I adore all your blogs that I visit--also, thank you all so very much for taking the time to comment on my blog---I have to say, they are a bright spot and make me smile so much. I don't have a comment moderation--I have only deleted about 4 comments on my blog ever, and that is because they were those weird spam ones about the lottery or payday loans----I was wondering why some of you have comment moderation and comments that have to be approved, do you all get spammed alot? I am just curious--sometimes, I can not figure out what the word moderation is on some blogs and have to do it three times, after that I give up--so sometimes, I want to comment, but the moderation is not playing nice...LOL. Okay this post was supposed to be about laundry--so between laundry cycles I will be visiting blogs too.

A Very Long Post :::Giggles:::

Happy Saturday!

I have read a lot in the news, blogs, boards etc about the high prices of groceries. I for one have not seen it in my grocery bill. I have done a lot of research through the years and this is what I have come up with for me. Walmart, Target and K-Mart all have great deals on convenience foods--I am talking about fun foods-----I am not really into buying things like Hamburger Helper and Kraft Mac and cheese--but I do buy fun snacks:) For about 20.00 I can buy a bunch of fun things for my kids and husband--A box of juice is 1.97 at Walmart, goldfish is 2.00, popcorn for 8 bags is 2.00, Doritos are 2.00, boxes of cereal are 2.00, granola bars are 2.00, grits are 1.22--so I can walk out of that store with some lunch box fillers and some fun after school snacks. If you don't believe in buying that kind of food, then you are ahead of the game and have already saved 20.00 for more healthier food.

Then the produce---20.00 again can fill up your produce drawer and then some. Lettuce 1.50 each--buy 2 that is 3 dollars, cucumbers 1.00, radishes .50 cents, celery 2.00, green onions 2 for 1.00 and so on--then for three dollars get a bag of apples, 2.00 get a watermelon and for 2.00 get a bunch of bananas--also a lot of fruits are on sale--you can get strawberries, peaches and nectarines for cheap---it is amazing all the fruits and veggies you can get for 20.00.

Now on to meat---Look for deals and when you find a great one stock up, if you can--I bought five MAX packs of Chicken wings for .88 cents each--Last week I spent 20.00 on meat and I got a roast, pack of pork chops, a package of ground beef, 2 max packs of pork strips and a pack of chicken. That is a weeks worth of meat right there!

Milk if you buy 2 you get a discount--it is about 5.oo for two here---eggs at Walmart for an 18 pack are 2.29--creamer is 3.00---bread, you can get all sorts of good bread at great prices, plus you can make your own. Butter the same thing look for what is on sale, something always is.

I love veggies, not only do I buy fresh, but I buy canned or frozen--I will stock up on canned peas--or frozen spinach if it is on sale. Fresh corn was .25 cents each this week--yummy!

Also, I love Costco, but I can not always afford it--I like to get diapers there, toilet paper and bottled water----but I can not always afford to buy one super duper max pack of something for 20.00---occasionally I can, if it is a great deal and I know it will not go to waste. One time I got 3 pork roasts for 10.00--that was awesome for me...LOL. Anyway, I just thought I would share a little bit of how I shop--I also grocery hop--I go to the stores that have things on sale, that I buy--just because something is on sale does not mean I need it.

I live in Southern California, Orange county to be exact and it is one of the most expensive places to live:::sigh::: I have learned how to be able to afford everything here and not spend a lot of money--I remember they opened a K-mart super center, I was in heaven--I could shop at one place and save even more money--well that store got picketed to death and eventually had to shut down--that was so upsetting--I asked the union strikers one time ( After a man yelled at me through his bull horn for crossing the picket line), how me shopping at a more expensive store is going to help me--I know it will help you, but how will it help me--I said if you are willing to pay my grocery bill I will be glad to shop anywhere you want me too--

We have no super centers here--and I miss them!

I adored Georgia, I remember going to Walmart Super center and buying 2 weeks of groceries for 94 dollars and not having to grocery store hop--I loved that!

After I bring my produce home--I wash and cut up the things that can be. Of course I don't wash and cut up the mushrooms or strawberries--but things like celery, green onions, carrots and radishes--I cut/clean--carrots are the baby carrots so I just rinse them and I put them in individual containers or bags in the fridge---see--->

Here is Kevin eating a cracker and hot dog:)

Yesterday between posts, I bought five Tupperware shoe boxes and organized Alexis's barbie accessories, clothes, shoes and jewelry--and odd and ends---now she can play better---we also had Emma, my niece, Alexis's best friend over---we filled up the pool and did the sprinklers and had the neighbor kids over too--oh my--the baby loved running (Toddling) through the sprinklers--I could not grab my camera because I could not leave them--but hopefully I will remember to grab it next time--it was soooooo cute!

I also, I am trying to take your advice and stop praying for patience, and asking for gentleness--because the checks have not gotten here still, and I know it is
not good for me to feel stress.

Roast!

I went to Von's--I just love that grocery store, they always have such a wonderful meat selection---they had this 4 pound Pork-bone in Roast for 4 dollars--AWESOME PRICE--I don't know why I didn't grab more. Anyway, I just finished searing it and I added the veggies to it, and thought it looked so pretty--so I snapped a picture to share on my blog ;) There was so much meat leftover, that last night's dinner we had pulled pork sandwiches with a salad.
My next post will be my produce--I just downloaded the pictures! More posts to come so stay tuned!

Feminine Friday!

Happy Friday! In the beginning of the week, I told you all of a new *Meme* I was going to participate in on Friday it is called *Feminine Friday* hosted by Kelly at Barefoot Mama---What a wonderful topic, because if you all have read my blog for a while you all know how much I adore being a girl!! Today I am going to share two things that make me feel like a lady---my *Vanilla Sugar* body spray--my husband loves it. I love all perfume/body sprays--but this is my very favorite! It is not overpowering either. Remember how I had stated when I hear my husband's car pull up, i quickly spray perfume, well a lot of the times it is this Vanilla Body Spray:) He will hug me and say, *You smell so nice* :o) ..and the second item I want to show you is my nail polish. I don't polish my finger nails at the moment--with babies it just isn't practical for me--but my toenails are always painted--feet are not the most attractive body part--so to make them look feminine and pretty a good *Home* pedicure should always be done and toenails should always be painted a pretty color--I do pink in the spring and summer and sometimes red in the fall and winter.

Two things that just say femininity to me is a pretty pedicure and smelling like a woman:)
