Friday

Hi everyone! I didn't post about it last week, but my husband was out of town ALL week on business. So I didn't post any dinner menus because they were quite simple, kid friendly dinners. This week now that he is home, I am making my dinners again that he loves. One night I made this Hamburger and mushroom gravy dish with egg noodles and spinach. This what it looks before the gravy--the hamburgers and noodles have melted cheese and bacon
This is the dish smothered in gravy:)

Last night we had baked chicken and mashed potatoes and peas. Tonight I used up the rest of the chicken and made a chicken casserole--This is what it looks like all ready to go in the oven later tonight for dinner. I will serve a steamed veggie and a salad:) I made macaroni noodles and made a cheese sauce, then I sauteed onions and added the chicken, I sprinkled the shredded cheese I had left, but I know I will add more shredded cheese on top of it tonight~~My husband loves cheese. I can get a big block of cheese at Albertson's for $7.49

He is all smiles when he sees the camera--he calls my camera CHEESE--Becuase I always say to him, say cheese...LOL

My littel dog, axel, he turns 5 in August

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday:)

A Very Sweet Surprise!

Oh my!!! My daughter came running into the kitchen and said, Mommy, you have a package outside. I was thinking it was something for Tony, because he was expecting a package. Alexis, said no mommy it is addressed to you. I was thinking what could it be, I was not expecting anything. Well I opened it and it was a beautiful package from Bath and Body works, with my very favorite fragrances, VANILLA!!!! I had just finished the last of my vanilla spray today and put it on my list to get tomorrow:) I got lotion, and body wash and desperately needed foot scrub. This all came from a very dear blogging friend, Christina from Sonshine Blessings:)

THANK YOU SO MUCH CHRISTINA for my birthday gift. Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that last Friday was my birthday, I turned 39---Woohoo!!! Everyone tells me to tell everyone I am 29, and I say no way, I am so blessed for these 39 years I will never deny my years:)

Thank you so much Christina, you made my day so HAPPY, and thank you to all my dear friends who I have made such wonderful friendships with on my blog. I treasure you all!

Happy Wednesday!!!

I have long ones and I have short ones~~I tend to go with the longer ones lately. Anyway, Happy Tuesday!!

Happy Monday :)))

Manicures.

Happy Monday
One thing about me is I am pretty much a low maintenance lady, I don't wear a lot of makeup, my hair is simple, I don't color it. I just keep it long, clean and in a hair clip. I do occasionally curl it:) BUT, the one thing I just love is to have my nails neatly done into a French Manicure, and my husband knows this is just something I adore, so he makes sure he makes time for me to be able to go. It is not always easy to get to the Salon with little ones. I also promised Alexis I would take her the next time I went, so this weekend, we both went and got our nails done. I so enjoy being a girl and everything that it entails..:)I am not sure you can see, but she picked a dark color and the manicurist painted little flowers on her nails, they really are cute.

What is something you do for yourself as a treat?

Wednesday Chatter!

Busy in the kitchen. As you can see my kitchen is not always neat and tidy...I do A LOT of work in this happy kitchen. I have lots going on in there today.

Outside my window I can see my Topsy Turvy--it is getting so big~~~30 buds so far:)

On the table, I have things to do---flour to put away, onions to chop. I have my Notebooks there. My cooking one and my Home Notebook. My husband could tell you that those notebooks travel all around the house. They are mostly in the kitchen or on my desk in the bedroom.

My cooking Book~~~recipes I have printed off the Internet or cut out of magazines or off the back of a box~~ they are all in plastic~~~~All in there:)

My Notebook~~~I have notebook paper for lists or whatever I need to write down~~~I have calendars, addresses and phone numbere and things like that, it is a fun book:)

I made cream cheese again~~~This is what it looks like after draining all night.

A full dishwasher that needs to be emptied.

This is Alexis's breakfast~~~Blueberry bagel with bacon

This is my crock pot

BBQ Pork is going to slow cook all day.

I soaked my beans all night, and I after I send this post, I will get them cooking too.

Last but not least, my sourdough starter---the only reason you see bubbles, is because I stirred it---I don't know~~~I think I have to start over again.

Also, on the agenda is I am going to make dinner roles, prep my salad.

The weather has been very warm, so we have been spending the afternoon outside and playing in the pool. Then we come back in and I finish up. Alexis has been going over to my sister's because she has a big in ground pool, plus my sister also has a little girl the same age as Alexis which happens to also be her best friend:)~~~Alexis has quite the tan going on.

Okay, in between all that needs to be done, I will blog hop today and say hi:)

You all have a happy Wednesday!
