Counting Down the Last Days of the Pool.....

Happy Saturday to you all!!
Today was a great Saturday...I ran my 3 miles......then off to the stores we went....a little more about that in the next post :)
Anyway, after we got home we went to the pool.  We have a beautiful pool and tennis court in our subdivision...I love to swim.  Okay, so I want to tell you about these towels....there is one in the photo above.  I got these towels at @Costco right before we went on our vacation to Jekyll Island. They were $9.99 and worth every penny.  They are thick and luxurious and oh so soft.  Best towels ever!  So, if you see them at Costco, get them :)

Quick Weekend.....

HEYYYYYYYY!!!!
Guess where I went last weekend???
I went to visit my Dad.....and it was wonderful!
My father is my rock and so, so, so special to me.
So for my birthday, which is July 24th, my husband, my dear husband bought me an early birthday present with a trip to CALFORNIA.
It had to be quick...just the weekend.

It was such a special trip, my father and I talked about so many things.  I listened to stories of his youth and learned some things about my father I had never known.  I will treasure this visit for as long as I live.
…...and yes, my husband is another rock in my life too :)

I inserted some photos for my blog.  My father does not do social media so I am leaving his photos off....I took a bunch for my photo album for my memories.

Have a glorious evening!

Dinner tonight was hamburgers and french fries...nice summer time dinner :)

PS...….FALL IS COMING....LOL   :)

Pool Day and new iPhone.....

Happy Friday!
Today was a really great day.
We spent the day at the pool and soaked up some vitamin D.
Then the clouds rolled in.
Storms were supposed to hit us, but it seemed like it was mainly just thunder.
I was able to run my 5K today also..it really helps me feel good.
I love to run..I run at my own pace..LOL.
Sooooo, lately my phone was not keeping it's charge..it was getting frustrating, because I need my phone and to always worry about the battery was not fun.  So off we went to the apple store and I got a brand new iPhone X..it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
I also got a new phone case, which I will show on here as soon as my phones are done transferring info.  The case is a beautiful
Kate Spade case with little roses and then I got the ring instead of a pop it...we will see if I like the ring better.  I was not too fond of the pop it...LOL...I know, I am odd.  Everyone loves the pop it.  I think I will like the ring better.  Better hold for me.

I cleaned my fridge today..I mean really deep cleaned it..took everything out and cleaned and sanitized it..it is squeaky clean now.

I posted pictures of my dinner.  I have made these Ranch Potatoes a lot and they are a family favorite.  I have used different kinds of potatoes, but the red potatoes are the best for this recipe..trust me.  It is a really forgiving recipe....
You really can not mess it up..add a lot of cheese or a little.  A lot of onion or none at all...and the RANCH packet is the best...LOVE IT!!  Yes, I use some processed food....;)

...AND!!!!  THE FOIL!!!  THAT is the best idea ever...helps cook the potatoes perfectly and the cleanup could not be easier :)  Let me know if you make these

Slow Cooker Cheesy Ranch Potatoes
~~~~~~~~
Ingredients
 6-8 small red potatoes
1 large onion, thinly sliced
2½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 package dry ranch seasoning packet
2 T butter
½ cup sliced green onions
Instructions
Line your slow cooker with aluminum foil. Leave enough to over hang so that you can wrap the potatoes on the top once in the slow cooker.
Spray the inside of the foil with cooking spray and layer half of the potatoes along the bottom. Next layer with half of the green onions, onion, ranch packet and top with cheese. Repeat the layers and top with cheese reserving ½ cup.
Cover the potatoes with remaining foil. This helps them to steam and cook perfectly. Cook on low for 4-6 hours in your slow cooker. Once finished, top with remaining ½ cup cheese and let melt on the top.
Top with the rest of the  green onions
Turnip Greens.....cooked with mushrooms
TA~DA.....finished product!
Dinner is served :)
