Monday, Pictures, Chatter
Good Morning. It is a cool Monday, and the news is saying rain tonight and in to tomorrow--I do enjoy the rain. When I was little my sister told me the rain was God doing laundry--and when it lightening and thundered he was bowling and got a strike, she also told me that sometimes the thunder was him rearranging his furniture.
I hope everyone's weekend was nice. We had a nice weekend too. We took the training wheels off of Alexis's bike, oh she was excited. Except, Kevin, bless his heart, didn't realize it takes awhile to learn--so he had to stop to take a break because he said his back was hurting---I feel bad, because I was able to teach Tony, but being in my condition, I didn't think it would be wise for me running down the street holding on to the back of her bike--Could you even imagine that (LOL)---anyway, we will try again--I know she will get it--we just need to practice, and in a few months after my body heels, I am sure I can help if she has not mastered it by then.
Over the weekend I was looking at my dining room and I wanted a new look----I want to get a new table cloth, but for now what I did instead, was take the table cloth off--I oiled the wood and put these place mats on it--I really like the clean, crisp look--the funny thing is my husband did not even notice...(LOL)
I think I mentioned my father had given me a highchair he had---here is what it looks like. I am going to get a little pad for the back and seat so it is comfy--but I like it, I wasn't too sure about it at first, but it has grown on me.
Containers--I just love putting things in containers--this is cereal I put in containers that I got at the .99 cents store. Keeps everything fresh, and also, we had some ants come in when it was warm, so this will keep them out of my food.
Also, Alexis and I colored some Easter pictures, and hung them on my front door. I think those pictures look so much better then store bought, and plus my daughter put so much love and time into them:)
This pretty plant is by my front door and it produced these pretty flowers. Does anyone know the name of this plant?
And last but not least--here I am again---34 weeks and 1 day--I like to say, going into my 35th week (giggles) Not too much longer. Also, I want to say, that I am not hiding my face, but it is so hard to get a full body shot when I am taking the pic --I will have to have my son or husband take a full body shot.
My husband, has to do some late work tonight--so he won't be home until very late--so dinner will be very easy. We grilled carne asada and marinated chicken last night, and I have leftovers, so I know my son will love another burrito, and my daughter will like some chicken----I will make a dish of something, for when my husband comes home--not sure yet--but something nice and filling.
Monday's To Do's
Sweep hardwood floors
Sweep and mop Kitchen
Wash dish towels
Vacuum
Swish the toilets
Oh, I also want to wipe down the outside of the fridge--and organize the stuff on it, it has gotten a bit wild with school notes and pretty pictures.

Picture Post and Girl Talk
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday. I got up bright and early this morning to go to Wal-Mart to buy my nephew a gift for his birthday party today. He is going to be eight and he likes the movie *Cars* so I bought him a few toys relating to the movie. My father and step mother adopted him--so even though he is my nephew (my step-mom's daughter's child that my father adopted) he can also be technically my brother<----Did I lose you there.
My father lives over the Ortega's, which is a big winding mountain that takes about an hour to go through--since I am soooo pregnant right now--my left leg goes numb if I am standing or sitting for a long period of time--so I stayed home--my husband and kids went, they will have lots of food and fun.
I found these neat little sea creatures at Wal-Mart for .88 cents, that expand 6 times there size--so I know Alexis will have fun with those in her bath.
Then I came across these organizing tubs for .50 cents--yay!!!
When I am out, I will pick up a few things here and there for baby boy--I found these cute little onesies for $2.88 and some newborn socks--you can never have enough socks:)
Then I bought these two tomato plants to plant--they will produce Grape tomatoes--YUMMY!!!!
This is the Shamrock I made for my door for St. Patrick's day---The dining room table will have a green table cloth. On St. Patrick's day--I will make Corn Beef and Cabbage and potatoes, green jello, green koolaid---Chocolate cake with green frosting (lol) and so on--I think you get the idea. This is the time to take advantage of the price of cabbage--we love cabbage here, so I usually buy a bunch of it--I make boiled cabbage, fried cabbage, coleslaw--I put it in my salad--it is all good. Plus you must wear something green on that day.
Also, on my plans for this weekend, is more laundry of course---I buy Sun, because it is the cheapest--this bottle says it does 40 loads--giggles--for me I get a lot more out of it--I usually use half of what they say to use--plus it only costs 1.97--woohoo. I will buy other brands on sale and with coupons if the price is right;) I also use a liquid fabric softener--I have Snuggle right now and bleach and oxyclean are in my laundry room along with fabric softener sheets.
Now, that I am getting a bit big around the middle--it is getting harder for me to get on my hands and knees and scrub the floors--so along with my Cotton Head Mop, I will also be putting my swiffer mop to more use--for quick jobs around the kitchen and bathrooms--until I can get back down on my hands and knees.
OHHH---I was so excited to see these----my girlfriend put on my flip flops and I never saw them again...(LOL) Well, I got these for 1.50--YAY!!!! Remember, I am a Cali girl--Flip flops are a must:)
Since my family is at my Father's I know they will all be eating really well, so I don't need to make dinner tonight--I may do my grocery shopping tonight if they get home early enough or just save it until tomorrow, we shall see.
I was looking on ebay for a breast pump---I like manuals better then electric---and I use them for when I get engorged the first week for some release and also I pump for some back ups for the freezer for emergencies----but with Alexis, we never ended up using what I pumped, and I nursed her for 2 1/2 years:) I found one that I like so I am just watching it right now--I will let you know if I win it. I am going to put a big 'ol pot of decaf on and get a big glass of juice and start in my housework and laundry while everyone is away at my dad's----You all have a glorious and wonderful safe and warm Saturday. xoxoxxo

Table
Kelli at her Blog, posted pictures of her Holiday table---soooo, I am posting a picture of mine--yes, I am being a copycat...LOL:) We are having Christmas dinner at my Dad's home, so I don't have a place setting to share. I am going to miss cooking this Christmas, but it will be nice to be with my Dad and Grandma.
Here are some Christmas cards I recieved, last year I hung them all around the doorway. I am still expecting more to come, so it looks like I will have to add another ribbon.

Gumball Tree

Made with Love
I made this little cross stitch decoration:) 
My Grandmother made this wreath, it is a crochet wreath--just so sweet:) It is hanging in the entrance, so everyone that comes in will see it right it away.
...and last but not least, I made this little booty---isn't it cute---I made it when I was 11...LOL
I am in the process right now of making little angels---when I get them done, I will post pictures of those too:)

This is a wreath, that I have had for many, many years..It is not as pretty as it once was, but my little ever faithful wreath has hung for me every Christmas for about 16 years:)

Pinecones and other Fun Stuff
When I lived in Georgia last year--I collected pine cones, I couldn't believe how many pinecones were all around. In California, I would go to Michaels and buy them..LOL. I am glad I brought my pinecones back to California with me, not only do they remind me of my time in Georgia, I have fun decorating them for Christmas. I put glue on them and sprinkled glitter on them, I put them all over the house, on my wondow sills, in baskets, and in the bathrooms, they give such a festive touch.
When I was a teenager, my father had given me these precious little wreath earings, and I wear them during the Holiday season--I love my little earings:)
