Aprons

Why do I wear an apron? It is not because I am a messy housekeeper...LOL--I just think they are so feminine---especially the new one I just got from my grandmother---I have this pretty yellow material, that I am going to make an apron out of too--just need to find the time, when the baby will be occupied for a good amount of time.

Also---when I do wash dishes I do sometimes get wet--but I would rather let my apron get wet then my dress--PLUS, as I have said before I love Caroline Ingalls---I guess if I admired June Cleaver as much I would be posting about pearls...(giggles)

Do you wear an apron?

Have a wonderful Autumn day--come on COOL weather, we are waiting for you :o)

Yes, I do wear an apron - and it's because I'm messy! LOL I get stuff on me when I'm in the kitchen, and I got tired of having mysterious (or not so mysterious) spots on my clothes at the end of the day. I wear an apron all morning until I'm finished with the cleaning I'm going to do for the day and after we have our big meal in mid-afternoon. Then I take it off and sit down to enjoy some reading or crafting.

You know, that's one thing I've never worn...an apron. I don't know why, I guess I just never think of it. I remember my gran and my mom always wearing one when they would be cooking:-) xox

Yes. Yes! YES!!! I LOVE aprons. As a matter of fact, I checked two books out of the library tonight about aprons. And I make and sell them in my Etsy shop. Did I mention that I LOVE them? (0:

Yes -- all day, every day, no matter what. With my messy two year old, it's a must. Before baby, I wore one just when cleaning, cooking, or gardening, though.

Julieann, no, I've never worn an apron, although I would like one for when I'm cooking. We are going on vacation in a few days, and I may look for one where we're at.

Blessings,
Paula

Julieann -

I do not wear an apron, but I do love aprons! I just never got in the habit. Both my grandmothers, my mother and both my sisters wore/wear aprons, but I dont. I have a few vintage ones that I am saving to use somehow in my kitchen decorating.

I think it will be a good memory for your children to see you in an apron!

Hugs! Sharon

Hi Julieann,
I've had an apron for years, but have just recently started wearing it. I read on someones blog about how wearing one will help change your demeanor about getting your stuff done or something like that...so...I decided to try it..another reason was that I always get things on my shirts and then end up with stains.
I don't really like my apron though, it's very utilitarian, not so pretty...as I think you saw in my video post. I cook with tomato sauce a fair bit so end up wrecking alot of shirts..or just making work for myself! You've also inspired me and Anna over at Pleasant View Schoolhouse, to name a few. So yeah...it's a new thing I'm trying out.
take care! ♥Heather

I do wear an apron, but not all the time.
I sometimes just forget to put one on.
Then when my sit gets messy when cooking or baking...I think to myself I should have worn an apron.
So I am trying to wear one more often.

I wear aprons whenever I am home. They keep my clothes clean and I just like the way they look and feel.

I love my aprons also. Speaking of Caroline from Little house hop on over to my blog when you get a chance our tiny town hosted its annual traditional days and I posted pictures of our one room schoolhouse that was built in 1860! Very cool and very Mrs. Beetle! lol

Oh yes, I wear aprons. I have so many too, but I always want MORE! LOL My husband jokes about the amount of aprons I have. I collect not only aprons, but apron patterns! Oh, and I wear aprons because I am a messy housekeeper! LOL

Why not wear Caroline's apron and June's pearls -- both. LOL! Actually, I admire things about both of those eras of homemaking, not that I've attained all of those things yet.
