Wednesday Chatter!

Busy in the kitchen. As you can see my kitchen is not always neat and tidy...I do A LOT of work in this happy kitchen. I have lots going on in there today.

Outside my window I can see my Topsy Turvy--it is getting so big~~~30 buds so far:)

On the table, I have things to do---flour to put away, onions to chop. I have my Notebooks there. My cooking one and my Home Notebook. My husband could tell you that those notebooks travel all around the house. They are mostly in the kitchen or on my desk in the bedroom.

My cooking Book~~~recipes I have printed off the Internet or cut out of magazines or off the back of a box~~ they are all in plastic~~~~All in there:)

My Notebook~~~I have notebook paper for lists or whatever I need to write down~~~I have calendars, addresses and phone numbere and things like that, it is a fun book:)

I made cream cheese again~~~This is what it looks like after draining all night.

A full dishwasher that needs to be emptied.

This is Alexis's breakfast~~~Blueberry bagel with bacon

This is my crock pot

BBQ Pork is going to slow cook all day.

I soaked my beans all night, and I after I send this post, I will get them cooking too.

Last but not least, my sourdough starter---the only reason you see bubbles, is because I stirred it---I don't know~~~I think I have to start over again.

Also, on the agenda is I am going to make dinner roles, prep my salad.

The weather has been very warm, so we have been spending the afternoon outside and playing in the pool. Then we come back in and I finish up. Alexis has been going over to my sister's because she has a big in ground pool, plus my sister also has a little girl the same age as Alexis which happens to also be her best friend:)~~~Alexis has quite the tan going on.

Okay, in between all that needs to be done, I will blog hop today and say hi:)

You all have a happy Wednesday!

Let me know if you would like a sourdough roll/biscuit recipe that only has to set overnight. My mother has been making it for years and never had it fail.

Thanks for sharing your kitchen and all that you had going on this day.
I know you love to work in your kitchen. And how nice your sister lives nearby
and with a pool.
God Bless

Hi Julieann,

It is so nice being a busy bee in the kitchen!

I believe that not all sourdough starter has bubbles bubbling in it before you stir it...I think as long as it bubbles after you agitate it a little that means that all is going well.

I have my sourdough starter in the fridge right now...I have not made any bread as of yet but when I checked on it yesterday to feed it...it had lots of hooch liquid and made bubbles after I agitated it.

Stick with it and don't throw it away unless you see mold or something. On the 8th day make some bread and see how it rises and if it does rise (even a little) it should be a good starter.

The starter works better the longer it has been around so do keep it up!

Oh and thanks so much for stopping by to see my pics of my sourdough starter...it's nice to be back!

God Bless You & Your Family!

I'll send you the recipe tomorrow or Saturday. My son has doctors' appointments this afternoon and tomorrow so I doubt that I'll get to it.

One thing my mother did tell me on sourdough starters was that she always puts her's in a glass bowl. That that just seems to work better than plastic.

Hi Juliann!
Thanks so much for the visit and comment. I've been SO bad about posting and commenting lately...so it's nice to have a friend pop over and say hi! :o) You, my friend, have been a busy gal. I need to take lessons. LOL
Yes, believe it or not, we are ALL going to the Locate Rodeo. We must make a 'large' impression when we're there because the organizers all remember us by name! LOL Little ducklings all in a row!
We'll be sure to say hi to dh!
Take care and have a great day.
Blessings,
Amy
