Menu Time!

Menu Time

I went to the grocery store yesterday and they had the most amazing sale on meat. I was so happy. Last week the meat was priced very high, so we ate a lot of chicken.

This is going to be the menu for the week, in no particluar order.

Lobster and steak---> The lobster tail was $3. 33, an amazing price.
Fresh Salmon for me and my daughter
Steamed artichokes
Green beans
Loaded baked potaoes---> Butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon that I cooked myself.
A fresh salad with all the fixings

Nachos---> that is one of my husbands favorites. It will consist of Tortillas chips, seasoned ground beef with taco seasoning, onions, chili pepper, refried beans, Lost of cheese, and then after the cheese is melted from being in the oven, I sprinkle the top with lettuce, tomato and avocado, then I add a dollop of sour cream

Pork shoulder blade ribs---Max pack on sale for $4.oo
Buttered noodles
Steamed carrots
Salad

Baked Chicken
Steamed Rice
Corn
Salad

Chicken casserole---usually some thing with lots of cheese
Steamed veggie
Salad

Hamburgers
French fries
Steamed veggie
Salad

BBQ Pork in the crock pot
Butter Beans
Mashed potatoes
Salad

That is my menu so far. Most of my dinners are served with a fresh green salad, if you have been a long time reader, you all know what my salads consist of...LOL--EVERYTHING! I usually make my own ranch dressing.

They had blueberries on sale, so I am going to make some muffins or blue berry pancakes--have not decided yet, if they last too--my kids keep eating them.

My sourdough starter seems to be doing okay--this is my third attempt, I am on my fourth day with this one. I am hoping it works.

Well, thank you for peeking into my kitchen. Have an awesome Saturday!

oh, my...my first attempt at starter failed this week , too! I thouht it was okay but then my bread didn't rise. What a site...looked like gaint raw cookie all flat! hahaha. I did some reading up on starter and come to find out it really isn't as easy as ome say. check out www.sourdoughhome.com and click on "fast track to sour dough". really good info. I went ahead and ordered some 250 year old starter from King Arhtur Flour for about $6.I'll let ya know how it goes!

Thanks for sharing your menu Julieann. You did get some great prices on meat.
Our berries here our around$4.00 a pint. If I go to the farmers market they are much less.
I love to make Nachos. For me they are quick and easy.
