HomeMade Playdoh and OOBLECK

Play dough
1 cup flour
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons cream of tarter
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 cup salt
food coloring
Mix all ingredients (add food coloring last). Stir over medium heat until smooth. Remove from pan, let cool slightly, and knead until blended and smooth. Store in a plastic bag or airtight container when cooled.

Next: We are going to make OOBLECH---I have to say oobleck is so fun and fascinating...LOL. I am out of corn startch, so when I run to the store I am going to pick some more up--and then I will share a photo of it. Have any of you made OOBleck before, it such a fun experiment to do withthe kids.

OOBLECK

OH oobleck! I love that. I made it once and now you make me want to make it again. I too need cornstarch.

And we have been going through so much playdough lately, but 1.64 for only a pack of 4, has made me able to not make it lately. But now you got me wanting to. hehe

Is that stuff kind of like Gak? About your question from the post below- a good friend of mine had her last son at 38. I think many women are having babies at that age now. It is common. Me- never! I could not imagine having a little one right now!

I made the Play-Dough yesterday with my son. He loved "helping" me stir the dough. We made his favorite color blue. He was so happy. I was happy too.
Thanks for the recipe.
