Friday!

Okay---they had a super sale at the grocery store this week--there prime rib roast, the same kind we made at Christmas was on sale again and my husband told me to pick one up at the store for Easter Dinner, along with a ham. The roast was originally 45.00--I paid 15.00~~~YaY!
So, my menu is in the making with the awesome sale on certain things---Green beans were on sale and so was cauliflower. I will make potato salad along with Potato Chantilly.

Another thing that has totally made me sad---ALL STORES will be opened on Easter---UGH, what is wrong people~~~~ Jesus is so important~~~Do we not honor him anymore~~~UGH!

Julieann- In this economy I think people are happy to have a job to go to even if it's a holiday to put food on their tables. Plus not everyone celebrates Easter or is Christian. Just a thought-not meant in a mean way at all.

What a deal on the roast! I would get one for that price too. Sounds like a great meal - enjoy!

Debbie, believe me, I totally understand the economy---but a lot of my Christian friends have to work at their job no matter what or be terminated!!! Why can't they put a roster up and have people sign up who are able to work and want too.

I love the Lord and totally think these should be days off, I know not all are Christian, but I have to say quite a few are~~~I just don't want these days forgotten.

~~~I guess I am just a diffrent bread, I want all Holidays off:)
Thanks for the comment, you know I adore you and your thoughts:)
great deal on your roast!
I am old enough to rememeber when most all stores were always closed on Sunday and we all managed just fine.
It's really too bad that now we all go, go, go everyday of the year.
Most of the stores here are closed Easter, though a good many of the restaurants are open.
Before my husband retired from the Army, he almost never had Easter off. That was his choice. Not because he isn't a Christian or doesn't love the Lord but because he thought it was important that his soldiers knew that he was willing to work on those days that they had to work even though he could have very well taken the day off and no one would have said a thing. Love for the Lord isn't mutually exclusive to those who can take religious holidays off.
Have a Blessed Day on sunday with your family.
Maybe you can post a picture of your dinner.
And table setting.
I have added some new Easter Decor to our home.
Even tho we are empty nesters I still decorate
My dad was a firefighter for over 30 years and when we got older he would always take the shifts of the guys with young kids on the holidays so they could be home with their families.
