This canister set is so precious..I want it...LOL.
I hope everyone had a lovely weekend. My daughter was pretty sick..so most of my time was taking care of her and making sure she was comfortable...She had a fever, so lots of sponge baths with cool water. She would go from hot to cold...so then the blanket would go in the dryer, to get warm. I made fresh vitamin c for her, lots of Popsicles. She is feeling soooo much better now. No more fever, thank goodness.

I just hope no one else gets sick....

We had Tacos last night for dinner, and tonight I made a chicken casserole, steamed rice, peas, and a salad.

I put together another box to pack. We kept the boxes we used last time, so that is nice to have them now. Kevin had put them on the top railings in the garage to keep them out of the way....so that was good. I knew we would need them eventually :)

My MIL has a list of houses, and Kevin will flying back to Georgia to look at them. I am so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laundry Day!

Hello!

Yes, it is laundry day today. Everyday is laundry day, but today is really laundry day. It piles up sooo fast.

I am so hoping that I will be able to line dry clothes in our new house. I just love that sunkissed smell:)



The picture below picture always gets a giggle out of me...LOL.







I took out some ground beef out of the freezer, so now I just have to figure out what to make...


any ideas? Casserole, hamburgers, spaghetti, tacos?

Also, I am going to pack a box...LOL. I will start a box count, I have to count the boxes, I have quite a few in the garage already from when we cleaned it out. I have four packed upstairs, and one going in the kitchen and about ten in the garage.....

Kevin is going to go to Georgia and look at the houses we have been interested in, he has his Mom and sister to help and they all know what I like. I wish I could go, but with the kids and the animals , we just can't both go.

Warm Wednesday!

It was a warm day today, like a summer day. A summer dress day. I had to go to the grocery store and pick up a few things and then go to Walmart and get some hay for my Guinea Girls..both stores are in the same plaza...it was a surreal moment walking in this beautiful California weather....as much as I am excited and over the moon to move back to Georgia, I will miss California, it was my home for most of my life... So don't get me wrong, I love both places very much. I just think I love Georgia a little bit more:)


For dinner tonight we had Pork Chops, French Fries, Roasted Asparagus, Green Salad.

I watched the Celebrity Wife Swap last night. It had the actress Tracey Gold, and boy, does she keep a neat and tidy home and she is also very organized. She does it all her self, I mean no outside help. When I see things like that, it motivates me to do better too...LOL.

I packed a few boxes too..I took down all the pictures in my bedroom. I didn't realize just how many pictures of my children I had...LOL. I also was clearing out the book shelf, and I put some books aside to read when we drive to Georgia.

It was a rainy day Monday. I did a little grocery shopping....

...and spent awhile on the phone with my SIL, who lives in Georgia also. We are getting a list together of houses to look at. Kevin is going to fly to Georgia soon to look at them. They are all so BEAUTIFUL!!!

I need to dedicate tomorrow to housework....with the excitement of moving and then my sweet little blue bird passing away, I need to catch up on some things.

My little Blue parakeet died today. I buried her in my yard. I cried for her, because I loved her.
I put a note with her , and wrote that now she can fly free. My mother absolutely loved parakeets, so hopefully she will take care of her in heaven...

I am so happy it is Friday, my husband has been in Northern California this week, so it is really nice that he is back.

Looking forward to the weekend.

My blog has come full circle. If you go back to my very first post of this blog I started it when we were living in Georgia, and I remember I was doing my box count on my blog, when we had to move back to California.

We are so OVER the moon with this. I have a lot to do to get everything ready for our cross country move:)

Tuesday and the Dentist

Happy Tuesday!

I took Alexis to the dentist today for a non-appointment visit. her spacer had been bothering her. They ended up taking it out. The gum had grown around it, OUCH! Anyway she has to gargle warm salt water for awhile and then we go back for a checkup. It pretty much took up the whole school day. We did go to the farmer's market since it is right across the street.

It was a good day.

For dinner tonight we are having pizza:)

Today, I am cleaning the garage!!

We filled the dumpster we got, now I am organizing it.......What a busy job...LOL.

Dumpster!

We had a dumpster dropped off and filled it up with garbage and JUNK!! I do not know how we accumulate so much stuff. For one thing everytime we go to Costco we get our groceries put in boxes...so I had a million boxes to get rid of......

This is a good day. I took my daughter to Justice to use up the coupons I got from Christmas shopping, so that was a lot of fun:)

Tonight's dinner will be Steak on the grill and baked potatoes, salad and some sort of veggie.

Hi There..It's Thursday!

Sorry about not putting up my weekly menu this week. My husband has been up in Northern California this week, and should be back home this afternoon. Tonight's dinner will be a family favorite: TACOS!

Did a little shopping this morning, and a little cleaning......the day went by fast, it is almost time to pick up my daughter from school:)

I had to do some grocery shopping. We go through a lot of Fruit of veggies, so I had to stock back on that again.

I am going to make some boneless, skinless chicken breasts with a new seasoning I bought at the store by Emeril. It is not a new seasoning, it is just new to me...LOL. I will let you all know if we like it.

It was another warmer day. I am wondering when the cold will come. It is just so pretty outside it makes you want to start gardening and get a suntan. When I do start gardening this year, I am determined to grow something. For those of you that have read my blog for a while all know my track record on gardening....For those who don't know, let me just say, I am not very good..but I do try:)

Friday...........

Happy Friday. I thought I would do a picture post today:) I love blog posts when they include pictures. I also like to look back and see the pictures. The picture below is what it looks like outside. It is supposed to be 72 degrees today.

I have mentioned numerous times that I like to collect cow knic knacs and things. I am not sure if I have shown this piece I made...I made it about 20 years ago. I got the wood and put the pictures on them. They aren't stickers..I am not sure what they are called..but they are on this type of plastic that you rub and then the picture sticks to the wood.

My daughter drew this picture for me, and I just had to frame it and add it too my collection.

On my menu, one of the meals was "Hamburger Pie" This is what it looks like...I had already scooped a piece from it before I took a picture.





Instead of the brussel sprouts I had planned, I made steamed broccoli. I cooked the brussel sprouts with the pork chops.





The broccoli looks nice and green, when you cook them and they start to lose their color, they are also losing their vitamins.

This is me when I was 14. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long ago.

Those earrings I am wearing, I made in Laguna Beach at the Bead Shop..I still have those earrings too. The following year, my father got me contacts..I was so happy about that. I really did not mind wearing glasses, it was the teasing that bothered me. Anyway, I had found this picture in my desk and thought I would share it:)

I absolutely love my MIL's home. I would love for her to decorate my home.

It was another warm day today. Sundress and sandals again. This warm weather sure makes you want to garden or get a tan.

I had Little House On The Prairie playing in the kitchen as I cooked and clean. It was the first season. Remember when Laura has a raccoon and wants it as a pet and names it Jasper?

I made the hamburger pie for dinner tonight.

Okay, tomorrow's weather says it is going to be 79 degrees. Hmmmm, now, don't get me wrong, the weather is lovely, I just like winter to feel like winter...LOL.

Tomorrow, I need to give my kitchen floor a good old fashioned cleaning. You know, the kind where you get on your hands and knees and scrub. I have been using a mop, and tonight while looking at my floor, I just think it really needs a good scrubbing.

I think I will make my homemade dinner rolls tomorrow too.

Also, with the holidays over that also means a lot of the really good coffee creamers go too. I will miss the Pumpkin Spice and the Egg-Nogg...and especially the Peppermint Mocha. Hopefully the Peppermint Mocha will stay:)
