My SIL came over yesterday and brought me a box of cookbooks...I was so excited.

She also knows I have a love for quilts and gave me two quilts too.
The pictures don't do them justice, they are so pretty :)
In the little white house her husband built,
She sews the pieces of a patchwork quilt.
Three, she has made, just since November,
All rich colors and fine to remember --

Beautiful quilts! Although not much of a cook, I too have a passion for cookbooks. I really like the simplicity of the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks.
I love cookbooks too! I read them as I would a novel. :) The quilts are beautiful. They'll keep you nice and warm this winter. Did your SIL make them?
Sorry, I am late to responding...No, my SIL did not make them, she actually collects them and is now downsizing, so I am getting some of her things :)
