Tuesday :)

Last night's dinner, was Pork Chops, Green Beans, Squash, Mashed Potatoes with Country Gravy and a Salad.

Tonight's dinner was Hamburgers and French Fries, Steamed Broccoli and a Salad.

I have to take Kevin to the dentist tomorrow morning for his 6 month checkup.

I'll let you know how that goes.

Did you know there are only 95 days until September 1st...and then FRED can come out...LOL.

Sunday!

I had a wonderful day today.  I went out to lunch with my MIL and my SIL to Cracker Barrel.  I think this has got to be the first time I have ever gone out to lunch without my kids.  We then went to a few cemetery's of all our loved ones.  I had to meet all the loved ones I have heard so much about.  I touched each grave.  I also took pictures.  My sister and I got flowers and she made such beautiful arrangements to put on the graves.  I also saw Jonbenet Ramsey's grave as she is right across from the families.

There is so much history here in Georgia, it is amazing.   I just adore it here in Georgia. I really love hearing all the stories and knowing my children are all a part of it.

We went to the store today and stocked up on fruits and veggies.

I love my juicer.  If you don't have a juicer, I highly recommend on getting one.  My kids drink fresh juice everyday..I make all different kinds.  The kids pick out what they want and then we juice away.

Honor Roll

My daughter graduated Elementary School today :) So after her "5th Grade Walk" at the school we gave her flowers and I made her Red Velvet Cupcakes:)

Alexis made the Honor Roll, and we are so very proud of her.  Tonight she gets to pick dinner.  She has picked out a Barbecue restaurant :)

Trundle Bed

Back in Cali we had gotten Kevin a Trundle bed .  I am not sure if I shared a picture of it or not.  Here it is..stuffed animals and all...LOL

Wednesday :)

You know those nights where things don't always go as planned...LOL.  Well, I was going to make tacos for dinner last night.....Then my daughter asked for pot stickers, so I made those for Alexis and Little Kevin, and then Tony had a big glass of juice from the juicer and a bunch of protein foods.....SOOOOOO, then my SIL was here and she wanted the pasta salad I made.  I was not going to make Tacos for only one person, so I heated a piece of steak we had left over, a baked potato and some buttered corn for Kevin.  He also had a nice green salad too.

So, now I have ground beef to use for dinner...will I make tacos?  HMMM, I am not sure ...LOL.


In the neighborhood we live in there are 5 pools around us, so my Sil and I took Kevin swimming today..oh, it was wonderful.  I love going swimming and being out in the sunshine:)  I am not much of an outside girl, but I love swimming.  I swam a few laps, giving my lungs a good work out :)

Tuesday :)

Last night's dinner was roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, southern style green beans  ( My husband bought those when we went shopping)  Really good! Salad and rolls.

Tonight's dinner is going to be Tacos again, I had a very busy day and this is an easy dinner and one that every one loves.  Can never have too many tacos...LOL.

Okay, some of you may know I have Asthma.  I have had Asthma, probably my whole life, but only diagnosed with it when I was 17.  I am now 41 and it is still going strong.  I have probably used every Asthma medication out there.  My favorite, turned out to be the over the counter inhaler called Primatine Mist.  They took it off the shelf in December and that has really upset me.  This past week, I have become dangerously low on my last and only inhaler, so I made an appointment with a new Doctor here in Georgia!  I really like him.  Very nice.  He gave me two inhalers, one is a maintenance and one is to take for relief.  He also, wants me to see a Lung Doctor as he is concerned about the number of times I need to use an inhaler.  He wants to make sure I am not on the onset of COPD.

I made potato Salad

This second dish seems to be getting very popular here.  The recipe is from my MIL and everyone seems to LOVE it.  Chicken Artichoke Pasta.  Click on the recipe to enlarge.  You have to try this, it really is yummy

Green Salad too.  On the side to put on the salad is Cheese, tomato and Avocado.  I keep those toppings on the side, so if the lettuce does not get all eaten, it saves better.

I also made Blueberry muffins, banana bread and of course my Dinner Rolls.

I did go grocery shopping this weekend with my hubby and we bought meat for 16 dinners.

For tonight's Dinner we had steak on the grill, we also had corn on the cob that my husband grilled.  Loaded baked potatoes and then you could choose from any of the cold salads I had made with a dinner roll.

Saturday

I love quilts :)  Here is the beautiful quilt my SIL gave me.  I put it on my bed :)

My Sil also gave me this quilt rack plus the quilt to go on it.  I love it.

LOL..I just have to giggle at the finger prints on the window from my little boy.

Good Morning

Here's The Plan :)

I went to Publix this morning and bought the stuff to make Tacos.  I also bought a few other things.  They had Whole Fruit Popsicles, buy one, get one free, so I got some of those.  They also had Feta cheese, buy one, get one free.  My kids LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Feta:)  Corn, 10 ears for 3.00.  Avocados, lettuce, tomatoes.  OHHHHHH, I also bought a box of Spider man cereal..LOL...My son Loves Spider man, so that was a fun buy:)  I need a lot of meat so, my husband and I are going to finish up my shopping together, tomorrow.  I can then plan my meals around the meat we get.  I almost forgot, I bought some ground turkey and made BBQ Turkey burgers for lunch.

I am doing my grocery shopping tomorrow,
 so I will put up more of what I will be cooking through the week either tomorrow or the next day:)  I am doing some research on some new menu ideas.  I feel like sometimes, I end up making a lot of the same things...and I really like variety.  I have been watching some You Tube videos on what people make for dinner.  There are some pretty creative mommy's out there in you tube land :)

My way of grocery shopping has slowly changed since I first started blogging.....I really like buying all fresh ingredients and making things from scratch or semi- scratch.  I stay away from boxed dinners and such.  My husband likes hamburger helper, but the ingredients make me nervous..LOL.  So I make my own version of hamburger helpers.  Also, as much as I can afford it, I buy organic.  Organic food seems to becoming more accessible and more affordable as the days go by.  I have not found a difference in the grocery stores from California and Georgia.  My one store here did not have Wheat Grass, which is a vital staple in my home...they order it now for me...but even though they did not sell it, the Whole Foods market did.  The variety of meats, cheeses, fruits and veggies are wonderful here.  The ONLY difference here are the PRICES!!!  Gotta love the prices here:)

I bought some organic, spinach pasta at Whole Foods and every body loved it~~YaY!!

Anyway, I am on the look out for new recipes, so if you have any suggestions please let me know:)

It is going to be a beautiful day, I just love the rain!

I am going to wash every stitch of laundry today..ALL OF IT!!!

I am also going to really organize my closet..it is a beauty...LOL..It is big with lots of room, so I want it to look really nice!

That is what I am doing today.  This is a day, where I don't have any where to go..I can stay home and just take care of my home and family:)

For dinner we had Steak on the grill, Burned Brussel Sprouts, French Fries cooked in the oven and a salad :) Dinner is usually a little earlier on Sundays.

Last night we went to this little southern Buffet restaurant...it was very quaint and the food was wonderful..one of those little hidden jems that you find. They had so much food to choose from. Fried chicken I think was the theme for this night, all sorts of cold salads, hot veggies, breads, etc. They had a salad bar to make your kind of green salad and dessert bar. It was great!

Blogger is giving me some trouble...hmmmm, it won't let me correct things, without erasing letters..i will post this now, before it messes up even more...LOL...Forgive my typos, it is blogger;)

Hi!

We did a lot on our list.  The garage is looking so nice!  We can actually fit both cars in there..YaY!!  I don't think we were ever able to get even one car in the garage back in Cali...Not a lot of storage space in the Cali home, so the garage seemed to be the catch all room.

Anyway, no dinner menu for tonight, we are going out to dinner...Yay!!

I'll post where we went and what I ordered, okay?  It won't be Cracker Barrel tonight, though...someplace new:)

Creamer Review!!

YUM!!!

This is one of the BEST creamers I have had~~~I love it!!

I also noticed today in the store, they are now bringing back the Peppermint Mocha from Christmas..same concept..Love them both:)

I am also baking a few potatoes for tomorrows breakfast...I make homefries with them, they seem to cook up better after I have baked them.

Eggs are also boiling on the stove..my kids love hard boiled eggs as a snack.

As I was writing my post last night....I ended it with BRB....my husband had just walked in the door and I wanted to greet him..so I quickly ended my post.  I'm back...LOL.

For dinner last night we had roasted chicken, rice, collard greens and a side of avocado.  My husband had meetings yesterday and was home later then usual, I fed the kids a little earlier..just in case.  Back in Cali we always had dinner between 5 and 6....so they are not used to having to wait until 7:30 sometimes, and I think that is way too late for children to eat dinner.  I would like their food to settle a bit before having to go to bed.  The night before we had pork chops, macaroni and cheese, peas and a salad:)  Tonight's dinner, I am not so sure.  I am going to take out some ground beef, so maybe Tacos?

I have been working in the garage, and sorting out things..I have a couple different boxes going on; stuffed animals, baby, barbies, keep, and give away...and of course trash..it feels really good to be able to really go through all these things and take my time sorting them.  Back in Cali, I did not want to quickly go through everything, because I know it would not have been a good job.

I have got to clean toilets today..I have 5, yes 5......I cleaned the kitchen before I went to bed last night, so that is nice and clean.  I don't have any carpet downstairs, it is all hard wood, so I have to sweep all that, vacuum the upstairs......and if I have time the stairs...I have a set of stairs going to the upstairs and a set of stairs going to the basement, both get used a lot.....I am working on a routine in this house...I am so flattered my hubby has faith in me...LOL.

It is all wet outside from the rain.  I also have to run to the store for a few things..HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Thunder Storm!!

We had a thunder storm and it is still raining as I type.  I don't know why I adore rainy days, but I do:)

Wheat Grass!

Publix, my new grocery store, there is one on either side of me...LOL. There is also a Super Walmart down the road too. Publix is so very quick to get too though, and that's what I like..anyway, the produce man last week said he would order Wheat Grass for me. I went there today and there it was, I was so happy. If it sells good he will continue to order it:) Now I will have a happy Juicer and two very happy Guinea Girls :)
