Thursday!

I heard this on the radio once and it has stuck with me. "Do what you love, and you will never have to work a day of your life" That is exactly how I feel. Even though some people may think what I do is a lot of work, like baking, cleaning, scrubbing, etc..it is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. Like I always say, there is nothing more satisfying than what I am already doing!

When you wake up out of bed, don't be grumpy, be happy. I am not always all smiles in the morning, but I totally think mind over matter, if you think you are going to have a bad day, you will...if you think, I am going to make this a really good day, you will:) I am so very thankful for my family and everything that I have. I try not to take anything for granted. I was reading on my twitter, that this woman was complaining she hated to cook, and makes her husband do it....Sometimes we have to do things we don't enjoy, that is life. Unless, I am really Ill, I would never make my husband make dinner after working all day long out of the home, would you? I guess that is just me. Women need to stay home and take care of there families and men need to go out and work to pay the bills. I truly believe that once a man and woman start having babies, they need to go back to traditional roles. If a man and woman both want to work and have careers, then don't have children. Our children need us. That is just me, just take what I say with a grain of salt:)

ETA: I just want to add this~~~ When your children are in school, I have no problem with both parents working, as long as one of them is home for the child after school:)

Are things perfect in my home? No way!! Right now, I am having a difficult time communicating with my Oldest. He is almost 19. Remember when you were 19? I thought I knew it all, and boy, he sure thinks he has all the answers. I do a lot of praying and I try and remember my mind frame at 19, and I know this stage shall pass. (please hurry...LOL).

Anyway, Valentine's Day is coming up. I love all Holidays, and I especially love to decorate. So today, I will be putting up my hearts:)

I hope everyone around the Country is staying safe and warm~~~The weather channel is showing such terrible snow storms.

I will also be cleaning my home from all the sicky germs that have been flowing around here.

Try working 40 hours then coming home and cooking dinner every night. UGH! LOL

Yes, if you both work, then the cooking should be shared:)

Working 40 hours out of the home and then coming home to cook, I can see how that would not be fun at all. Then having to clean up.

What about freezer cooking? You know, making a bunch of things for the week, then freezing them for weekly dinners?

My husband and I both work, and we share the responsibilities of the home. Our boys are also very helpful doing their chores, so I think we work well together as a team. My work is very understanding about my limited availability. I never work nights or weekends, and I average 25-30 hrs. a week, also my shifts are almost always over at 3pm. We spend all of our time together as a family. Julieann, I know how strongly you feel about women not working, but in my case it really is a necessity, we wouldn't make it financially on just his income. Also, like I posted I SO want to be a nurse someday, I love taking care of people, and this job gives me so much experience in that field. Sorry to ramble on here, LOL I just don't want you to think bad of me, you know how much I love my husband and my children. I would do anything for them! =)

Quirks lol
I like food to be freshed cooked. If it isn't then it is just leftovers and I don't like the way things thaw.

If I had him cook then I would come home to a black shell of a house. LOL Usually he cleans the kitchen but lately he is SLACKING!

I was so silly and immature at 19, yet I still managed to know everything!

I used to work 35 hours a week and do all the housework and cooking/clean-up. It was hard. One of the happiest days of my life was Feb. 27, 2005 -- my last day of work. One of my daily prayers is never to have to go back, especially now that we have a child.

Yeah, I used to have to work full time and come home and take care of the entire household and childrens needs and it was no fun. I was fed feminism as "freedom" when in reality it was just chains.

When I came home as my career, we lived a down sized life. There weren't many extra-curricular activities, and we lived in an apartment for many years. We just finally got a house when my first daughter is away in college. I guess it's each ones priorities and working toward them. I don't judge anyone for their lifestyle, however I do feel bad for kids like me who used to come home to an empty house with a key around their neck. :(
