I got this 4 pound ham on a manager special for 2.99---as you can see, I ripped off the price, wanting to know what the original price was, but it was not there, but I know this was a good deal--I cut each ham in half--and then I froze them (I bought 5) Then with one of the halves I put it in my Cuisinart and sliced it--it looks just the deli:)
Look at this ham all sliced up and ready to go--I love ham and so do my kids--so now they will be able to have nice ham sandwiches:)
After, I finished up with the ham--I made Dinner Rolls.
Dinner tonight is going to be roasted chicken with all the fixings!
( Whole Chicken was also on sale for .49 cents a pound--Yay)

Good for you, you are a smart shopper! I dont think alot of woman think that they can buy whole hams so inexpensively and then slice it, or even have it sliced at the grocery for free. It is a fraction of the cost, I just wish someone besides me in my family liked ham! And I do the same thing when something is on sale, I stock up, big time! Dinner sounds yummy, what time should we be there??? LOL Sue

I wanted to buy a small ham for our Christmas dinner, but unfortunately here in Oz, even a small one was almost $42 !!!
And chicken? They cost almost $9. EACH!

I adore Ham.I have never seen it for that kind of price where I live. Even your chicken was such a good deal. I live in Ct and everything is so expensive here. Believe me I try and find the deals. So how did you slice it? I have always wanted to slice my ham and turkey. What is a cuisanart? can you show us a picture of it?
