Monday, Monday, Monday!

Happy Monday. Here is to a brand new week:)

I don't post when my husband is out of town, until after the fact. He was in Georgia last week, a very long week. He had to go on business, but it is wonderful that our family is there too:) We did a lot of skyping last week.

The weather, was really warm last week, and then all of a sudden it got really cold and rainy...and with that brought on sickness. Alexis started complaining yesterday that her little head was hurting and by the time she went to bed last night she had a fever. Her fever has come down a bit this morning, but she is not feeling well. No school for her today. We will all be staying in today, and I will be getting things done around the house. I am just hoping little Kevin doesn't get sick, last time he got sick, it went into his lungs:(

I have to tell you, I FINALLY organized the junk drawers in the kitchen~~Yay, they look so nice. I did not tell my husband, and when he went to get something out of one of the drawers, he said "Hey, it is organized"....Yay!

So, for today, I really want to get into my daughter's room and do some more organizing. I have been working on her closet but I want to do the rest of the room. I went through my husband's part of the closet over the weekend, and it is so nice, everything on his side, is something he wants and actually wears. My side is a NEVER ending process, I know you know what I mean. Something I may not like today, I may see in a different light tomorrow...LOL. I do have a side that has a bunch of maternity clothes, I am not getting rid of those just yet, because I am so hoping for just one more....

...Okay so today, in the Gossett household, will be a stay inside day. Organize day. Take care of a sweet girl that isn't feeling well day. Try and explain to Little Kevin that we can not go to the park today (it is all wet outside anyway)....he is not liking that at all.

Dinner menu will be up tomorrow!
(hopefully)
Tonight's dinner will be a comfort meal..Not sure yet.
Happy Monday y'all!

Getting Organized!

I just love getting organized. It seems like it is a never ending process. It is actually a process I enjoy:) I love going to bed knowing things are neat and tidy and everything has a place. Is my home picture perfect? Absolutely not...LOL. Is it clean, yes:) My living room is not a show room, it is very simple, and very kid friendly:) One day I will have an adult home, but for now it is for the kids...it is safe and clean, but there is ALWAYS room for improvement. I have shown you pictures before, of how messy it can get...LOL.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this site. It has so many wonderful printables. I use them for my Notebook~~~~~> Free Printables:)

Yesterday I made cheese grits for breakfast with sausage and sliced apples. This morning I made dippy eggs with toast, sausage and milk:) I walked my mile, and now I am going to the market for a few things I need. I need more coffee:) What kind of coffee to you buy?

What is your favorite Coffee?
What is your favorite Tea?

Happy Thursday!

Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!

Today was such a nice day!
I wrote in my previous post that I was going to make a chicken and broccoli casserole for dinner last night~~~I changed it up a bit. I made chicken tenders, in a light Italian sauce, steamed broccoli and a tomato and cucumber salad, it was a nice dinner to match the warm weather.
Tonight I made pasta for dinner. Being an Italian girl, I love pasta~~or any kind of Italian dish:)

This morning I went around the house and vacuumed up those webs that get in the corners of the house. They seem to grow overnight.

Oh, and Mrs. U, I love using the word *Protective* instead of *Nervous*~~It sure sounds a lot better:) So today at the park, as I was chasing my little one, I was thinking, I am not a nervous mom, Mrs. U says we are Protective Moms:)))

I looked at Juicers at Walmart, and they had about 5 different brands, ranging from $24.00 to about $100.00..I will have to do some research.

...and babies, oh how I would love to have another one:)

Tuesday~~~OOPS!

Good Morning!

I wasn't able to look through all the menu's last night like I wanted too. So my menu didn't go up as I planned. OOPS!

The Hamburger Stew last night was good..it was a little bland in taste, so next time I am thinking of adding something to it, not sure yet, maybe cream of mushroom soup or onion soup?

Tonight for dinner, I am going to make a chicken and broccoli casserole. I have lot's of broccoli to use up. :)

Also, this week I want to make Homemade Pizza. Pepperoni is a lot cheaper to buy from the deli then the actual package, so that is what we get:)

The weather here has been really nice, so we have been taking advantage of it, by going to the park and enjoying the fresh air. There are a few really nice parks by me. The big slide always scares me. I am such a nervous mother, I am the one following my kids all around the playground, while I notice the other mother's just sitting back chatting away to eachother. Alexis, bless her heart, she goes on the big slide with Little Kevin, because she knows I am so nervous when he is up so high.

Oh, and another thing. As I dropped Alexis off at school....I think I was the ONLY mom that did not have a cell phone attached to my head. What is up with that? I don't get it. At the stores too. Have you ever thought the person was talking to you, when actually they were on the phone...LOL. I have a cell phone, but I have it more for security, in case I break down, an accident, an emergency..or Kevin needs me...

I have a few things I need to get at the Walmart. I love Walmart...I wish we had a Super Walmart though here in California. The grocery stores won't have it...the one time we had a Super store, they were picketed until they had to close:( Our Walmart does carry food, but not produce or meat.

Have a wonderfully Glorious Tuesday!!
Stay warm!

Happy Monday everyone!
My weekly menu should be up by the end of the day. I am doing some research on some new recipes:)
Tonight I am going to make this Hamburger Stew from TOH.

I walked my mile today and the weather was beautiful. I want to get one of those pedometers and see how much walking I do in an entire day. Years ago when I worked as a waitress, I wore one, and I can't remember the miles I walked, but I do remember it was A LOT....LOL.

Have a wonderful and blessed Monday!

Beautiful Sunday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend:)

Ours was lovely!

The weather here was warm and sunny. It amazes me that it is so warm and sunny here and freezing everywhere else in the country. I hope everyone is staying warm.

I took Kevin to the park to play and we got home, He said "Mommy, I am tired"...It was so cute. I am so happy he is feeling better. It breaks my heart when my children don't feel good.

Well, here is to a new week.
Menu planning
Cooking
Baking
Cleaning
laundry...etc.
Most of all, loving are families:)
God is so Good!!

Friday!

Today when I signed into blogger, they had a notice, that they are automatically blocking spam comments which I am so happy about. I was about to change my comments, because I was getting comments about things that were *Adult* related. I don't know why they want to leave those kind of comments on this blog..silly really. I also, had to remove my chat box, and when I asked the people to stop leaving ads, one replied NO, and then laughed...Oh well.

On Wednesday morning my little boy woke up wheezing really bad, it broke my heart. I took him to the Doctor, and the Doctor gave him 2 breathing treatments..it broke through and he was able to breath so much better. He is now on some liquid breathing medicine. I have asthma, so I know what it is like to struggle to breath. The Doctor said it was asthma, and I started to tear because I don't want him to have go though what I have been through with Asthma. The Doctor said that this could possibly be just a one time occurrence, so I am so hoping that it was just his cold that moved into his chest and nothing more! I took him back on Thursday and his lungs were clear, he did not need another treatment. He seems to be back to his normal, happy, playful self today.

After the Doctor's we had to go fill his prescription and I told Kevin he could pick out a treat. He picked out a Carrot smoothie..LOL. HE LOVED IT! So now, I have a question. The Carrot Juice is rather expensive, and I would love to make homemade fruit and veggie juices. Does anyone have a juicer? Is there one you recommend? I don't know anything about juicers, but I would love to get one now.

Organizing, I had written a post earlier about how I was joining Laura's 52 week organizing project. I have organized quite a bit. I am working on my daughter's closet this week. I think next week, I will start on mine. I still have to do the 2 junk drawers in my kitchen, but I did finish my armoire:)

Dinner, I have followed my menu list pretty closely. The evening I had to take the kids to the dentist for there cleaning, I had made the pasta bake that afternoon, so when we got home, I just had to warm it up. Easy!

We have leftovers of a few things, so I pulled out a pack of chicken tenderloins to cook. the kids will have the leftover pasta bake, since they love it so much. I will also have a salad to go with everything.

This weekend, I plan on doing some things around the house, maybe get to those junk drawers...LOL. The Doctor wants Kevin to rest for a few days, so we will be taking it easy around here. Happy Friday!

Tuesday!

It is like summer here, very warm. I am not bragging, I promise, I would like it to be more like winter then summer. My husband will ask me, how could I wish that? I don't know, I guess I just like the weather to match the season. Plus, I am soooo white, I wore a sundress yesterday and I glow, I am so white. My husband said I used to be so tan, and I said that was before three kids and a husband...LOL. Who has time to lay out when you have so much to do. :) I am happy though, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Little Big Planet 2 comes out today and my children have been counting down the days for it. So I will be going to get that when the store opens.

I organized the upstairs hallway, and it looks so nice now. On my list of organizing projects is my daughter's closet, oh boy does that need it!

Tonight for dinner we are having chicken tenderloins. Last night we had the breaded porkchops I have in my menu list in the post below. We bought strawberries and blackberries at the Costco over the weekend, and boy do my kids love those. I also bought fake sushi (California Rolls) Have you ever had those? I love those and so does everyone else. I put some of those in my daughter's lunch today. I have to be creative lately with her lunch, because she has told me as of late that she really does not care for sandwiches. It just doesn't feel right to pack a lunch without a sandwich in it...LOL.

Here are some pictures of a lunch I made her last week. This is a turkey sandwich

That I put in a container, so it won't get squished. No one likes a squishy sandwich.

In the little purple container, she has fresh fruit in it. It has a little cold cube in it, to keep it cold. This particular time she had pineapple in it.

Oh, and I can't forget the Edamame....everyone loves Edamame.

Pretzels, yogurt, a juice, raisins.

Okay, that was a look inside one of the lunches I make for school.

I have 2 loads of laundry to do today also.

Have a WONDERFUL Tuesday

Wednesday!

Today started chilly and then warmed up to about 70 degrees here. You have to layer your clothes, because you want a sweater in the morning and then a cool shirt in the afternoon. I visited my daughter at school today at her lunch time, and it was very warm in the sun:) I also did my marketing too. That is always fun.
For dinner I made pork with onions and mushrooms, steamed broccoli, baked potatoes, and salad.

I had bought some bread, and made my daughter a sandwich with it, and it came back with a small bite in it yesterday. She did not like it, it had sunflower seeds in it. I thought it was good. She rarely doesn't like something, but I guess, sunflower seeds in her bread is a no go for me...LOL. So I bought just a regular wheat bread today:)

Tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. I do like warm weather, but I enjoy the winter weather more, and in January it just doesn't seem right, for it to be like summer. I have been in California for over 30 years, give or take a year or two while I was in Georgia, and it is something I just don't get used too. I did so enjoy the weather in Georgia. I know my family in Georgia, was pretty much snowbound in there homes this week.

Tomorrow, I really want to detail my bathroom in my bedroom, I cleaned the downstairs bathroom really good yesterday. I just love the smell of clean. Everyone, have a wonderful evening and I hope everyone stays safe and warm!

52 weeks of Organizing!

This sounds really neat. I am not as organized as I wish I was, so this is something that will motivate me. I love it when other people are doing it too, and we can share ideas and motivate eachother. I am sure I can come up with 52 things that need organizing, from my dresser drawers to the Garage, oh, the garage...LOL. Click on the button and hop on over to Laura's Blog and read what it is all about. I love what she said in her post about writing things down: I need it out of my head, onto paper where clarity can begin to make it’s way through the fog.
I am a list maker so this is right up my ally:)

P.S. Don't forget the post below this one, I need help with the little plant I bought:)

Friday!

It is Friday~~~YaY!

Yesterday, I went to the .99 cent store to pick up some new calendars and they had these cute little flowers there, so I picked one up. Now, as some of you know, I do not have a green thumb at all. First of all, what is the name of this flower, it looks like daises, but I am not sure. Second, will it live if I keep it inside, or do I have to plant it outside? I think it is a bit too chilly for it outside right now, even though I am in Cali, it has been quite cold here. I could use all the help I can get...LOL. It is pretty though.....reminds me of spring!
TIA:)

Wednesday!

It is Wednesday evening, and Hallmark has an episode of Little House on, that my children fell fast asleep watching.

Tonight we had tacos for dinner, which is always a favorite among everyone. The kitchen is all clean. Flylady tweeted just a little bit ago, to get rid of 7 things out of the fridge..I beat her to it...LOL. I went grocery shopping today, so I cleaned out the fridge earlier:)

I am doing the "Read your Bible in 90 days" So I better start reading:) I don't want to fall behind.

Have a lovely evening, and stay warm!

Sunday!

Hope everyone had a blessed Sunday!

We had a very nice day.

I am getting ready for a new week:)
I love Mondays. I am sorry that vacation has come to an end, but I do love Mondays.
I have lots of things I want to do this week, which of course I will blog about.

Here is to a new year, and a new year of blogging:)

I had to remove my chat box, a lot of distasteful ads were being placed on it, so I took it off:(

First Day of the New Year!

Happy 2011!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's Eve!
We had a quiet one, and as I get older, I think I enjoy the quieter nights more.
I fell asleep early but woke up at 11:00 p.m., and stayed awake until midnight. Everyone else was sound asleep.
I was awoke this morning by Little Kevin at 5:45. I got up, had some coffee, made french toast and eggs and bacon for everyone for breakfast...Happy Morning.

I have so been enjoying these past two weeks with everyone home.

Come Monday, Vacation is over......

I have been in the kitchen today making a big pot of Black Eyed Peas.....they will be served with dinner.

I do not make Black Eyed Peas for luck, but more as a tradition, as I do not believe in luck:)

I have been doing a little organizing everyday, and I have accomplished quite a bit in these past few weeks. My desk is super organized, and I love it. I have worked hard in my bedroom:)

I have so many pictures to share on this blog. So, those will be coming in the next few days. I think my sister in law is my number one fan when it comes to pictures, she just loves the pictures of the children:) She actually one time, took a bunch a pictures I have shared and made this beautiful keepsake book, I treasure that book.

Okay, so along with the Black Eyed Peas, we will be having pork chops and mashed potatoes, and a nice green salad:)

Happy, Happy Saturday!
Enjoy this beautiful new day with your loved ones:)
