Happy Homemaker Monday

 Hello, and happy Monday everyone.  I am so glad you are here. I am joining in over at Sandra's Blog's, Happy Homemaker Monday.  So fun!!  I enjoy visiting everyone's blogs and making new blogging friends :)

 I had a pretty wonderful weekend.  We had breakfast on Saturday at one of our favorite restaurants, did our Costco shopping, went to the office store and got a new desk.  I tried to get some laundry done in between other homemaking duties.  I went to church on Sunday and then finished the day with going to the big Kroger with my daughter to finish off the grocery shopping and get things I would rather get at a grocery store then Costco. This Kroger is like a supercenter, they have everything there, but on a smaller scale then Costco.

Outside my window, it is wet and dreary and cold, and supposed to rain all week.  I used to love the rain, not so much anymore.  In California, it did not rain that much.  North Georgia, it rains A LOT!!!😉

I am pondering and getting super excited for Spring and planting my garden. I am also planning my quick trip to check on my Dad.  I have to go to California to see him,  I am bringing my daughter with me, she asked to go.  She would love to see her Grandfather.  It is so important.

I am still reading ATOMIC HABITS by James Clear.  It is not a book I will ever give up, but rather keep it and use my highlighter the second go around.  I highly recommend this book

Blog hopping (newly discovered blog).
A new blog that I have found doing this is, Tamy's Blog, Chasing my Life.  I have so much in common with her and she is always so welcoming and kind.  I enjoy her blog so much :)

On my to do list...
I am happy to report I fixed the broken needle on my sewing machine and I am happily able to sew again.  My mother had a talent to sew like no other, while I may not have that talent, everything I sew, I sew with love :)

Devotional:
Galations 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Sometimes, it seems hard, but doing the right thing, is always the right thing.  Always remember God loves you with everything he has and is worth following and loving with your whole heart.

~~~~~~
You are enough!
You are so much more than enough
You are strong, you are beautiful, you are needed
You bring things to this world no one else can.
You are perfect, exactly who you are!
You deserve nothing but the best
You are worthy of love and being loved.
You are beautiful inside and out.
God made you perfect and he does not make mistakes.
You are and have always been, enough!
Until next time,
Thank you for visiting!
FORGIVENESS🤍
 Forgiveness.  Let's talk about forgiveness,  We have all had times in our life we make a choice to forgive.  Forgiveness is a very powerful word.  If we use it correctly it can help us heal tremendously.  You can either forgive and let by gones, be by gones.  You can also forgive and move on and not allow to be hurt again.  Sometimes forgiveness is just as important for you as it is for them.  Forgiving is a way to heal our heart.  We can forgive and feed our soul with kindness and gentleness and let go of bitterness.  It also doesn't mean we are allowing to be hurt again.  it is okay to forgive and let go.
Let Go and Let God!
We all have a story, I have a story, in fact I have many stories.  Some of my stories are beautiful and lovely, and some are hurtful.  I talk with God and pray to keep my heart happy and to keep healing from things that have hurt me.  I thank God everyday for blessing me so much more than I deserve.  I do forgive and I do love, but I also know when to let go.  I am telling you my lovely readers, on this lovely Sunday, remember it is okay to forgive and let go.  Also, make sure above all else, you learn to forgive yourself.  You are loved, you are precious and you are enough!!!
Happy Sunday.
Weekend To~Do'S! **NeW**
Cabbage Roll Recipe!!
This is my Cabbage Roll Recipe!
It is simple and easy.
Don't be intimidated by the name.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For this recipe:

1 ½ LBS of Ground Beef
2 Cups of cooked long grain rice
4 cups of marinara sauce, homemade or bought.
1 garlic clove pressed
¼ Cup of onion
10 - 12 large cabbage leaves, blanched in boiling water until pliable .

Sauté the beef and onions until the beef is cooked through and the onions are translucent and put minced garlic in towards the end of cooking the beef and rice mixture.

Blanche the cabbage leaves in boiling water for about 5 minutes.

Cooking away. drain the beef mixture, return to pan and add a cup of marinara sauce and mix well.

Take the blanched cabbage out and let cool enough to handle.  Once able to handle, put a few spoonful's of the beef mixture into each leaf and roll up like a burrito.  Don't over stuff, you will get it rolled with trial and error.  You can't mess this up.  Before you put each roll in the pan, put a cup of sauce on the bottom of the pan and distribute it evenly on the bottom. then start putting each cabbage roll on the pan, until everything is rolled up neatly.

Pour the remaining sauce over the top of the rolls. Cover with foil and cook in a preheated 375' oven for 30 to 40 minutes.  Take out of oven and let sit for about 5 minutes.

Remove the foil and plate them

*ENJOY*

*WEEKEND CLEANUP *

This weekend is a little different than most weekends.  I thought I would use my Saturday Morning first thing, to compile a list of all things I would like to get done to prepare for the week.
 Saturday mornings I am usually out of the house first thing, we usually go to breakfast and run errands that I love so much. We go to Costco, ikea, Whole Foods, the mall, all the stores.
Today is a different morning though, and I am going to thoroughly take advantage of it.

My husband had to do some things this morning, that did not include our regular Saturday. I am going to stay behind at the home and compile my list.  We do have to take my daughter's car in later for a checkup and pick her up her rental.  Her car is making a sound and we want to get it fixed while it is still under
warranty

I am going to get a load of laundry going, sweep and mop the floors, vacuum the stairs, swish all the toilets.
I am also going to fit a #Peloton class to clear my mind and burn some calories.

I did a little 2 by 2 space out in the yard and cleaned it up.  I heard that if you are stressing or worried to pick a space and just concentrate on a 12" by 12".....I chose a little spot in my yard and picked up the leaves, trimmed down some foliage and made it pretty.  It was so satisfying and made me happy.  I see that little well groomed spot in the yard and it makes me happy and excited for spring.

I am also going to make my meal plan and start my post to join in on "Homemaker Monday"

I want to finish my bench that I had painted.  I was making pillows for it and then my needle broke out of my sewing machine.  I must fix that, too.

I want to dust all the things, organize all the things and clean out my pantry.
Iron some items of clothing that are in need. Organize for school this coming week.  Grocery shopping will probably be Monday after I clean the fridge :)

Well, this my weekend t a glance.  I have a few more things that i am doing this weekend, but I will share that in another post.  Be well, be healthy, be loved.

All the things this week *NEW*

Good Happy Day to you!!!!

Aunt B's Mayberry Cookbook!
This cookbook contains all the things and all the feels of Mayberry.  I love it so, so, so much!!!!

Granny's Beef and Rice Casserole

Burrito Bake

My beautiful Tulips that my daughter gave me.  She gave them to me just because, and I treasure them.  Everyday the tulips change, they grow taller, they open slowly to show the delicate pink, a color which I adore. They make me happy and make me smile.  Isn't that what flowers are supposed to do?  Make us happy and knowing that things will always change and the beauty that we get from change is absolutely breathtaking at times leaving us in aww or even speechless.
🤍

I found this sweet little teapot at the thrift store...I knew I had to bring it home with that precious bee on it.
🤍

It has been a drizzely, rainy last couple days and I as I finish up this post, the precious warm sun is coming out.  Oh, I have missed you beautful sun, it makes me happy.  The sun especially makes me happy when it warms my shoulders as I run.

I did my Peloton Bike this morning, a weight class and then yoga.  The weight class is a toning class, to fine tune my muscles.  I don't want muscles...tee hee, just toned 🥰

I will also add my video of  my menu plan along with a talk with all of you, my dear readers.
Let me know if you were here.

Propagating!!

I am enjoying learning to prorogate.
  My daughter actually taught me how to do this.

Snow was predicted today, but it didn't.  It was just blistering cold.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

My daughter and I went thrifting today, and we had some fun.
I am really trying to make an even more conscious effort, to reuse, recycle and reduce.
Making old things new again and composting things.  Planting and gardening.  Just being more mindful and not being so selfish and being more aware and taking care of God's green Earth better than I have.

We basically have a four day weekend from school.  Thank goodness.  I am helping my son with Algebra.  I am really good at algebra, but teaching it is another thing...tee hee.  He is smart so he gets it quick, whew!!!☺

Family Fun night tonight, was B and W Burger Factory.
Night off from the dishes......woohoo.

I was extremely tired this morning and over slept.....I didn't have any thing pressing.  There wasn't school today so I didn't set my alarm..Boy, did I sleep.  I slept long.  I must have needed it. 🤍

Until next time..adieu  🥰

Yes, I did!!

I know Valentine's is a few weeks away, but I bought the candy hearts. Yes, I did , I bought some and put them in a pretty jar and they are displayed on my counter.  The pastel colors of the hearts look so pretty :)

SWEET!!!!
Who doesn't like a sweet heart:)

I painted these little wooded hearts a delicate pink....my dining room has always had touches of pink so these will be a mainstay in there.

Last but not least, my Peloton makes me so happy, so at the mall I visited the Peloton store...tee hee!!!

**TODAY**

 Today is the first blank page of a 365 day book.

Let's write a great one.

My daughter gave me a 5 year journal, for Christmas and it is called, ONE LINE A DAY.

I am going to have so much fun with this book.  Keepsake for sure.  I will take a picture of the book and share it with you all in another post.

I hope this new year is blessed for all and that health and wellness touch all your homes.

🤍

The weather today started out cloudy but the sun came out and it was like a beautiful spring day.

I ran and it felt glorious.
