Thursday:)

Last night I made baked chicken loaded with veggies. I made it all in one dish. The chicken is under there, I promise..LOL. I baked it and then served it with homemade dinner rolls and gravy, plus a salad:) I love how the onions got a little crispy..they taste really good that way.

A few years back, I had commented to Kelli, how I adored her little Honey Bee Pot...and one day in the mail it appeared. I cherish this little Honey Pot from Kelli. I posted about it, when I first received it, but I wanted to share it again. Isn't it just the cutest thing?

It is supposed to start raining again, and last through the weekend. This is what the sky looks like right now.

A pretty flower in my yard:)
...and more are coming!

Here is the wreath on my door. For some reason it looks a lot better in person...LOL

For breakfast this morning, I made bacon, egg biscuits. I served them with fresh blueberries which are on sale for $1.50 a carton. I don't care for fresh blueberries, but my kids just love them. I also had grapes:)

For dinner, I have a ton of leftovers, I have a few pork chops, chicken, and some pasta..so I am going to use up what I have. Tomorrow, is going to be a big cooking day. It is my husband's birthday, so I will make all his favorite foods! I will take pictures to share here.

Since it is cold and wet outside, and rain is coming, I will be staying in, trying to get the house sparkling for tomorrow, all the while playing with a very active 3 year old. I would love to take him to the park today, but everything is all wet there. It does wonders for him, when he burns off all that energy...for me too:)

Happy Thursday!!! Come 2:00 my weekend officially starts..NO SCHOOL FOR 4 DAYS~~~~~WooH000!!!! Can you tell I am excited...LOL:)

Wednesday!

Hello!

I have the laundry going. I love the sound of hearing the laundry going, or the dishwasher going.
Or listening to my bread machine kneading bread:)

I make my bed everyday, it makes the room look a lot nicer with a made bed. When I was growing up, if my bed was not made, I was not aloud to do anything until it was made. I didn't care too much for that rule growing up...LOL.

Little Kevin has really gotten interested in Star Wars, he knows the names of characters more then me...LOL. I actually have only seen "Star Wars", none of the other movies. So, for his birthday, I want to do a Star Wars theme. I am already thinking of what I am going to do. I think I have already posted about this too.

For dinner tonight, I am going bake some chicken, with roasted vegetables~~and a salad. It is a cold and rainy day, and I love it. I had to run to the store and get some more coffee, I had run out. So I just made a fresh pot of coffee. These days when it is raining are the days I really love to clean...

My husband was going to be out of town this week, but decided to do the drive home everyday, bless his heart! The drive ranges from 2 hours to 4 hours. His birthday is also on Friday, and that is all I am going to say about that. He reads here so I will post about his birthday after:)

Oh, before I forget, When Little Kevin does not like something, he will say, "Mama, I can't like it"..it makes me giggle. I just love when they are little and learning the proper way to say things.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Showers:)

Showers
Cloudy with occasional rain showers. High near 60F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%.

Gifts!

Valentine's Gifts for each of my children.
Kevin got one too, from me:)

Sleepy heads finding there bags:) Tony is asleep at this time!

I also made a Strawberry cake for Valentine's day~~~It is pink inside too:)

We had a nice dinner too. I made Cream Cheese Wontons, and pork chops, baked potato, steamed veggies and a salad!

Fresh Juice!

For Valenitne's Day, Kevin got me this Jack LaLane Juicer. I love it! It is easy to use and easy to clean. The best part is, it makes wonderful juice. Just fruits and veggies, nothing else. So healthy without all those additives:)

This is the juice I made this morning. It has carrots, oranges, some grapes and an apple..

I also, made juice from strawberries and blackberries. I love my juicer:)

.....here is a picture of my sweet little boy:) He is playing with his Lego People:)

Happy Tuesday!

Rain!

Today
Areas of morning fog with some patchy drizzle. Cloudy. High 18C. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

That is the weather for today, and it is suppossed to start raining tonight and last over the weekend. I just love the rain. I always have. I guess, I just like how it makes me feel so cozy in the house:)

What is your favorite kind of weather?

Thursday!

Hello!
Happy Thursday!
What are your plans for today?
How is the weather today?

Last night I made stuffed Shells. As you can see I used Cheddar Cheese. Kevin's favorite cheese is cheddar, and I noticed he likes my pasta bakes made with Cheddar. So I added it to my Stuffed Shells. It was really good. The stuffed shells are under there, I promise..LOL.

When I was at the market yesterday, I found this Soy Butter. I bought it, and I have to say it was a bit pricey. I wanted to see if it tasted like peanut butter and if Little Kevin would like it. Well, it tastes just like peanut butter, and he liked it. I can't wait to make him his first Soy butter and jelly and sandwich:) So, it was worth the cost:)

Yesterday when I went to the park, I got a little sun, it felt good to get some color. I don't have the luxury to just lay out all day like I used too, when I was young...so I get it when I can get it:) I would like to get a little tan before vacation.

Today, I am going to do some cleaning. We are having Tacos for dinner, and Alexis has to get her new spacer at the dentist. Kevin will probably take her. I don't really like getting on the freeway, so if he can do it, he will do it for me:) Driving has never been a favorite of mine to do. I do drive everyday, but all around town. When I get out of my comfort zone, I get a little nervous.

It is going to be about 70 degrees today. Also, Valentine's day is just around the corner. I also give my children a little goodybag filled with candy hearts and a little toy:) Over the weekend, Alexis will fill out valentine cards for her class.

I am not going to say anything about what I will do for Kevin, because my husband reads here..LOL.

Have a great Thursday!
XO

Garden Basics:)

I am determined to grow something this year with some success. I was able to get a few tomatoes from the Topsy-Turvey I keep trying. This spring, I don't think I am going to do the Topsy-Turvey, but I may change my mind. I do want to grow something. What would you say is something that anyone can grow? I don't have any kind of a green thumb, but I do try. So what would you suggest? We love all veggies, so anything I could grow would make me happy...LOL.

I took Kevin to the park today, and we were the only ones there, which was so nice to have all the slides and swings to ourselves. Usually the park is loaded with children, but today no one. I went while everyone was still in school, it was nice just me and my little boy.

His birthday is coming up and we are leaning towards a Star Wars theme. He really likes Star wars. I can not believe he will be 4:)

Tony will be turning 19 very soon, but I think little boy parties are out...LOL. We will do something special:)

.......Kevin, my husband has a birthday coming up too. So many birthdays...LOL.

Happy Tuesday!

Sunday:)

I hope everyone is enjoying there weekend!

I am not into the Super Bowl, but for those of you watching it, I hope your team wins:) I will stop and look at the commercials once in awhile...My husband has it on, but he would have really loved it if his team was playing.

I am always excited for a new week to begin. I am even more happy because my husband does not have to go out of town anywhere this week~~WOOHOO!

The weather has been lovely. Makes me want to plant some things, but I know it is too soon. Hopefully this year I can have a better garden then last years attempt.

Hope everyone is staying warm and is well, I know there has been a lot of sickness going around. Alexis's school was hit pretty hard with some sort of bug going around.

Happy Sunday!

Thursday!

I heard this on the radio once and it has stuck with me. "Do what you love, and you will never have to work a day of your life" That is exactly how I feel. Even though some people may think what I do is a lot of work, like baking, cleaning, scrubbing, etc..it is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. Like I always say, there is nothing more satisfying than what I am already doing!

When you wake up out of bed, don't be grumpy, be happy. I am not always all smiles in the morning, but I totally think mind over matter, if you think you are going to have a bad day, you will...if you think, I am going to make this a really good day, you will:) I am so very thankful for my family and everything that I have. I try not to take anything for granted. I was reading on my twitter, that this woman was complaining she hated to cook, and makes her husband do it....Sometimes we have to do things we don't enjoy, that is life. Unless, I am really Ill, I would never make my husband make dinner after working all day long out of the home, would you? I guess that is just me. Women need to stay home and take care of there families and men need to go out and work to pay the bills. I truly believe that once a man and woman start having babies, they need to go back to traditional roles. If a man and woman both want to work and have careers, then don't have children. Our children need us. That is just me, just take what I say with a grain of salt:)

ETA: I just want to add this~~~ When your children are in school, I have no problem with both parents working, as long as one of them is home for the child after school:)

Are things perfect in my home? No way!! Right now, I am having a difficult time communicating with my Oldest. He is almost 19. Remember when you were 19? I thought I knew it all, and boy, he sure thinks he has all the answers. I do a lot of praying and I try and remember my mind frame at 19, and I know this stage shall pass. (please hurry...LOL).

Anyway, Valentine's Day is coming up. I love all Holidays, and I especially love to decorate. So today, I will be putting up my hearts:)

I hope everyone around the Country is staying safe and warm~~~The weather channel is showing such terrible snow storms.

I will also be cleaning my home from all the sicky germs that have been flowing around here.

Tuesday!

Happy first day of February!

Dinner tonight was Roasted Chicken.

Tomorrow night will be a chicken casserole with the rest of the chicken, along with a nice green salad:)

Thursday Night's Dinner:

Breaded Pork
Baked potatoes
Steamed veggies
Salad

That is as far as I got with my menu...LOL. My husband loves tacos, so I will make those soon:)

Today was a nice day. Alexis was home again, she no longer has a fever, so we shall see how she feels tomorrow morning. The school told me, that A LOT of kids are out. Something is definitely going around.

I am going to use this time now and try and get some work done in Alexis's room, while Little Kevin is in for the night. He looks so cute when he sleeps.

Happy Tuesday evening~~Stay warm and safe!!

Monday, Monday, Monday!

Happy Monday. Here is to a brand new week:)

I don't post when my husband is out of town, until after the fact. He was in Georgia last week, a very long week. He had to go on business, but it is wonderful that our family is there too:) We did a lot of skyping last week.

The weather, was really warm last week, and then all of a sudden it got really cold and rainy...and with that brought on sickness. Alexis started complaining yesterday that her little head was hurting and by the time she went to bed last night she had a fever. Her fever has come down a bit this morning, but she is not feeling well. No school for her today. We will all be staying in today, and I will be getting things done around the house. I am just hoping little Kevin doesn't get sick, last time he got sick, it went into his lungs:(

I have to tell you, I FINALLY organized the junk drawers in the kitchen~~Yay, they look so nice. I did not tell my husband, and when he went to get something out of one of the drawers, he said "Hey, it is organized"....Yay!

So, for today, I really want to get into my daughter's room and do some more organizing. I have been working on her closet but I want to do the rest of the room. I went through my husband's part of the closet over the weekend, and it is so nice, everything on his side, is something he wants and actually wears. My side is a NEVER ending process, I know you know what I mean. Something I may not like today, I may see in a different light tomorrow...LOL. I do have a side that has a bunch of maternity clothes, I am not getting rid of those just yet, because I am so hoping for just one more....

...Okay so today, in the Gossett household, will be a stay inside day. Organize day. Take care of a sweet girl that isn't feeling well day. Try and explain to Little Kevin that we can not go to the park today (it is all wet outside anyway)....he is not liking that at all.

Dinner menu will be up tomorrow!
(hopefully)
Tonight's dinner will be a comfort meal..Not sure yet.
Happy Monday y'all!

Getting Organized!

I just love getting organized. It seems like it is a never ending process. It is actually a process I enjoy:) I love going to bed knowing things are neat and tidy and everything has a place. Is my home picture perfect? Absolutely not...LOL. Is it clean, yes:) My living room is not a show room, it is very simple, and very kid friendly:) One day I will have an adult home, but for now it is for the kids...it is safe and clean, but there is ALWAYS room for improvement. I have shown you pictures before, of how messy it can get...LOL.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this site. It has so many wonderful printables. I use them for my Notebook~~~~~> Free Printables:)

Yesterday I made cheese grits for breakfast with sausage and sliced apples. This morning I made dippy eggs with toast, sausage and milk:) I walked my mile, and now I am going to the market for a few things I need. I need more coffee:) What kind of coffee to you buy?

What is your favorite Coffee?
What is your favorite Tea?

Happy Thursday!

Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!

Today was such a nice day!
I wrote in my previous post that I was going to make a chicken and broccoli casserole for dinner last night~~~I changed it up a bit. I made chicken tenders, in a light Italian sauce, steamed broccoli and a tomato and cucumber salad, it was a nice dinner to match the warm weather.
Tonight I made pasta for dinner. Being an Italian girl, I love pasta~~or any kind of Italian dish:)

This morning I went around the house and vacuumed up those webs that get in the corners of the house. They seem to grow overnight.

Oh, and Mrs. U, I love using the word *Protective* instead of *Nervous*~~It sure sounds a lot better:) So today at the park, as I was chasing my little one, I was thinking, I am not a nervous mom, Mrs. U says we are Protective Moms:)))

I looked at Juicers at Walmart, and they had about 5 different brands, ranging from $24.00 to about $100.00..I will have to do some research.

...and babies, oh how I would love to have another one:)
