Thank You Jodi!!!!

When I started this blog--I wanted to be able to write down memories, post pictures, and be able to look back and read and share with a few friends---and then I started reading other like minded blogs and meeting new ladies and learning so much more about life, friendship and God. It is rather addictive..LOL---but I think it is a wonderful hobby:) I have made friends all over the country and even in other countries, I have received lovely emails, comments, phone calls, letters--etc----

Yesterday, I went to my mailbox, and there was a package---I saw the senders name and knew exactly who it was from and it put a smile on my face and it made my day very special. A very sweet and kind lady that I have met through my blogging sent me a wonderful card that will be put in my baby book--and the sweetest outfit for my Little Kevin. I want to publicly THANK YOU JODI:))) I am so glad we became friends (((Gentle Hugs)))
It is just darling with the Dragon Flies---I will take a picture of Little Kevin in it too:)

Hi!

Happy Tuesday!!! I can't remember all that I have wrote about---since it has been a few days---ahhhh, the joys of being a wife and mother----I love it and would not have it any other way!!!
Kevin has been so wonderful---he has been grilling a lot--I will make the salad and veggies, and he grills the main dish---easy cleanup. Lat night, I made his favorite though--Fried Chicken (pictured below)

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day--I sure did:)

Right now Baby Kevin is napping and Alexis is home too, she is having some BM problems, I just couldn't send her to school with her having to go potty all day, so hopefully she will be better tomorrow.

We stocked up this weekend, Fruits and Veggies from the Farmer's Market, then I got more hand soap and hand sanitizer and odds and ends from the the .99 cent store---and then off to the regular grocery store for Meat, cheese and other fun stuff:) Busy, busy, busy!

Mrs. U, Bless her heart, asked me a question, that I would like to answer for her:
I am curious... what time do you get up? Do you eat super healthy (you must with all your energy!!!!)?

I wake up between 5:30 and 6:30---I want to change that to 5 though, so I have some more time in the morning to get some things done before the kids get up and so I don't have to rush, (know what I mean). Also, my eating, is I think healthy---my motto is and always has been *Moderation* I truly believe you can eat everything, as long as it is in moderation. There are some things though, that I just do not eat--like bacon--but I will eat Turkey Bacon---I don't eat red meats, even though, I cook a lot of it for my family--I am more of a fish and veggie kind of girl. I also enjoy savory foods and not so much sweet--I could give up sweets forever, but not my cheese and mayo. I also eat when I am hungry and I eat small amounts. I don't ever eat until I am so full I feel sick--have any of you ever done that? I don't like that feeling at all(Like at Thanksgiving:)--yuck..(LOL)

Oh, I also want to say, that I am in bed at a good time, last night, after everyone was in bed or settled in (my son studying) I finished cleaning the kitchen--went upstairs, nursed the baby at 9:00--and he slept until 11;30--giving me good stretch to sleep--then he woke up for another feeding and changing and I went to sleep again---he nurses about every two hours, so I get good sleep--and to be honest, I am so excited for my day to start--I don't mind waking up early and starting my day--
Thank you for the question Mrs. U---that was fun:)

My Father and Step Mom, and Grandmother were over Sunday to visit---->

I love my Grandma--->

My Fried Chicken that I made for my sweet Husband last night--->

Tonight, we will be having pork chops---the salad is already made.

I have a load of whites that need to be taken out of the dryer, and my bedding is in the wash--if I get those two loads done, I will be in good shape.

Well, that is pretty much all I have time for right now---My duties are calling;)

You all have a wonderful day--I will be back to read all your blogs too--I may not be able to comment as much as I want too, but I am reading at times when I am holding my sweet baby--so I am around, I promise!!! xoxoxox (((Gentle Hugs)))

Happy Mother's Day Dear Friends!!!

((((( Hugs to all the Dear Mothers!!! )))))
Mothers are the place that we call home.
On them we rest our heads and close our eyes.
There's no one else who grants the same soft peace,
Happiness, contentment, sweet release,
Erasing nighttime tears with lullabies,
Restoring the bright sun that makes us bloom.

Wednesday List

  1. Continue to keep up on laundry
  2. Sweep the stairs again
  3. Sweep/mop Kitchen floor
  4. clean all toilets really good---I have slacked on my toilets this week
  5. dust master bedroom
  6. vacuum
  7. clean out refrigerator
  8. finish grocery list
  9. drop off check for Alexis's swimming lessons
  10. sign Alexis up for ballet this summer
  11. Library---must be done today!!
  12. make dinner rolls

    These are some things I really want to get done this week.

I may add any new things that pop up--but basically I have to get my house up and going again, so I don't fall far behind.
I have to adjust my routines that I have in my home notebook a little---I can not go through my day with out a shower and getting dressed and smelling pretty--kind of like FLY lady---if I don't do it, I just don't get anything done, and I swore that when I got married, my husband would never see me in dirty sweat pants and a t-shirt when he came from work

So I am thinking of getting up just a tad bit earlier, so that I can shower, while baby is sleeping.

Also, about my baked potato post--Heather made a great post on how she makes her potatoes, with pictures too---->Click here--Check it out--they look great!! Thank you Heather:)

Also, it is HOT!!!! It is supposed to cool off sometime this week---there are fires in a few places here in California, one is in Camp Pendelton, not too far--I just hope everyone is okay!

(((Gentle Hugs))) To all my friends, try and stay cool today, and remember keep a smile on your beautiful faces--God is good!!! xoxoxoxox

7.14--YAY

Tuesday--I just got home from the baby Doctor--my son weighs 7.14----when he was born, he was 7.11--then when we left the hospital he was an even 7 now, he has gained back his birth weight and then some--the Ped said that whatever I was doing, to keep doing it---(that made me feel good) He is a very nice doctor! He is a new one, since the Ped we had here in Cali, retired, I had to find a new one, and I have to say I like him a lot.

Did a lot of driving already today--Took Tony to school--Alexis to school, then to the Doctors---then I have to pick up Alexis and then pick up Tony. Baby is sleeping right now--and I am taking a moment to sit here and take a breath:) It is HOT today---it is supposed to get into the 90's--and then cool off tomorrow.

I woke up at 5:30--and took my shower----I am so glad I get that done first thing. I took out ground beef for dinner----I think I may make meatloaf--we had spaghetti last night, so meatloaf will be something different.

I am also, making my list for the grocery store---Kevin will probably do that shopping, since I don't like to take baby out in public until it is at least a month.

Baby Kevin's belly button fell off at the Doctor's today, so he can now have an official bath--YAY--we have a baby bath tub--I can't wait:)

I did not have time to curl my hair, so I threw it on top of my head in kind of a half ponytail bun sort of thing...LOL-----My hair is long and straight and baby fine, so I usually add a little curl to give it some body----

I need to make more lists, so I don't forget things--I need to renew books tomorrow---when Kevin gets home, I will run to the library, and renew my books--I am absolutely loving the *Family Collection* by Laura Ingalls Wilder---I usually am a really fast reader, but right now, I am lucky to get a few pages read---what a happy busy time.

Okay, I am going to go----you all have a wonderful Tuesday!!! xoxo

Saturday's Busy Ramble

Hello!!! I have been busy. In between Little Kevin's naps--I have been getting my laundry done--My Mil did do a load for me before I came home, so that helped. I vacuumed the living room and cleaned the bird cage---I put in some chicken in the oven, when it is done, I will let it cool and pull the meat off the bone--and make some chicken and noodles for dinner.

I went to the Doctor's yesterday so he could check my incision, and he gave me the okay to drive, so I will be able to drive my kids to school.

I have always been one to take quick showers--but I have been taking even quicker ones...LOL.

Little Kevin is such a good baby--he wakes up every two hours at night to nurse, but he is so quiet, he makes a few noises, I nurse him and he goes right back to sleep, he is just so sweet.

My husband, said that when I feel up to it, I can have another baby--LOL---he said it would probably be a good idea to have them closer together this time---I was thrilled, because I know he doesn't want to be 60 and still have little ones running around:) Which of course I would love.

I am going to have to renew some of the books I got at the library, I have not had any time to read them--when Kevin falls asleep at night and everyone else is in bed, I follow right behind....

Also, when I get into a better routine, I hope to be able to visit all my beloved blogs more often:)

Also, have you ever been so deliriously happy, that you don't mind how busy you are----I literally jump out of bed so excited to start my day.

One more thing--when they were admitting me into the hospital, the lady that was filling out the forms, asked me who my employer was? I smiled and said, I am a Mom--My husband said, she is a homemaker. Then I got to thinking, how sad, that some women choose to work rather then taking care of their family--there is no greater joy!!! Now, remember the keyword I used was *Choose* :)

Have a wonderful Saturday--and LeighAnn--I didn't forget pictures today, I will post some new ones later today...((((Gentle Hugs))) xoxoxox

Baked Potatoes

How do you make your baked potatoes? My husband wraps them in foil, makes a few pokes with a fork and puts them on the grill for an hour:)

When I make them, I wash them, then I lay one on a piece of foil, put a dollop of butter, salt, pepper, and sprinkle chopped green onions on it, then I wrap it in foil and poke holes in it, place the potatoes on a cookie sheet (because the butter drips out) Put in a 375 oven for about an hour or until they feel tender---I usually take a towel and gently squeeze the potato, if it feels tender it is done. The reason I season the skin, is the skin has the most vitamins, and I like to eat the skin. Plus, they smell really good.

Okay, now it is your turn---> Please tell me how you make a baked potato----either in the comments or on your blog:)

I can't wait to read how everyone does this.

The next time, I make baked potaoes, I will take pictures--to show you just what I do. I will also share how I make twice baked potatoes---YUMMY

Wonderful Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday everyone---I can not believe tomorrow will be a week. I woke up this morning at 5:30, fed and changed Little Kevin--I made bacon and eggs and pancakes for everyone---with a side of fresh strawberries--the berries were so good. I am still drinking decaf---but it is funny how my appetite has already changed--when I was Pregnant, I was always hungry--and now, I have to remind myself to eat--which, I have to say, my husband has been helping me with so much, especially dinner and the dishes. I am so glad I did so much cleaning and organizing before the baby---it was so nice to come home to a nice clean home and not have to worry. I do have to start my routines again though--

Dinner lats night turned out to be:
Grilled pork Strips
Baked potato
Grilled corn on the cobb
Fresh green salad
YummY!!!

Wednesday Dinner:
Italian Sausage
Noodles with Garlic and oil
Fresh veggies
Green salad--until further notice:)
I really would like to make some homemade rolls sometime this week.
Here are some flowers I recieved--very pretty--->

..and of course, here is my precious son today----> I can't stop kissing him:)

I will be back, It is time to get Alexis ready for school--you all have a fantastic Day xoxo

Baby Chatter:)

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I am having so much fun, being a new mother once again---I have posted some more pictures, and will continue to post new ones. Those of you on the KF board, I know you have seen some of these pictures already--but new ones will be coming too:)

Little Kevin---that is what my husband calls him, I call him peanut and beautiful. He was born at exactly 1:00 p.m. on Thursday---I had a spinal which I was not too thrilled about--I would have much rather had an epidural----I know some people can't tell the difference, but I sure did..(LOL). They had a student put my IV in my hand--I think I was her first---my hand is a bit sore still. Kevin is doing my shopping right now with Alexis, we made the list and off they went---He so enjoys food shopping, so I am curious as to what extras he will get--My husband is such a sweet blessing---he is taking the children back and forth to school while working in between all that--he has his laptop and cell phone----so he is working even though he is home. He also made dinner last dinner for us and cleaned the kitchen so I could rest. Everyday, I wake up, I can not wait to start to my day--and when my little one cries in the middle of the night, I can not wait to nurse him and hold him and smell him---I love changing him, and dressing him, and kissing him--and holding his tiny little hands---I thank God everyday-God is SOOOO GOOD!!!!! Okay, I will be back shortly--Hugs to everyone xoxoxo

Tuesday dinner---> I took pork strips out--so that is the main part--and I know Kevin is going to buy a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies--so I will be back to continue my menu.

Also, for a newborn, I don't use baby wipes, I use warm washcloths to clean his little bottom--no chemicals on his tender skin---okay, I will be back--and hopefully, I can come back tonight and catch up on all my beloved blogs too xoxox

Right after the birth---> LOL

Tomorrow is the Day!!!!

Tomorrow is the day!!!

I had a Doctor's appointment this morning and everything seems to be fine:) Tomorrow at 12:30 my son will be born--I have put it in God's hands, and I can not wait until tomorrow. I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight.

I was talking with my Doctor, and pretty much all of my needs and baby's needs will be taken care of--so I don't really have to bring much--I always go overboard. He also said that things have changed recently with insurance and that they are not in a hurry like they used to be in sending us home after we have the baby--which I was not expecting--I was hoping to be home Saturday---but my Doctor said he would like me to stay at least 4 days----I just can't see myself in a hospital for 4 days---with both my C-sections I was up and about the next day. My Doctor, said we will see---if I am that determined to go home on Saturday..my Husband is not too happy about that, he would have me home that first night if he could (LOL)

Kevin, is on his way with the kids to pick up Grammy (MIL)--I stayed home, because I am not up for that drive back and forth to LAX.

So tomorrow is the day---I wish I had more to write about--but I can't seem to concentrate on anything else---so today I am just doing things around the house to keep busy, cooking, cleaning, etc.

Oh, I almost forgot, after school yesterday, the other Mom's had invited me up to the park above the school--they had a cake and balloons and gave me a card with $100.00 gift card to Babies R Us--That was so nice, and such a surprise too.

Well, I am not sure if I will post again--before tomorrow---thank you all for your prayers and kind words, they mean so much to me. So, hopefully the next time I post here I will be holding my new baby. ((Gentle Hugs My Friends)) xoxoxoxox

Monday, Tummy-->3 days left!

Today is Monday--it is a nice day today, a little cool--but not too bad---it was supposed to rain on and off today--but I just don't see any rain clouds. I dropped my daughter off at school, and then I went back to observe her recess time and be there for her at lunch--she was so happy--she came running up to me and asked if I wanted to play with her and her Friends--I told her no, I want to chat with some of the teachers. There is a little girl at that school in her class that is not very nice, and I am making sure that things are being done to resolve this issue, because I will not let my daughter be affected by some child that was not brought up to be nice and get away with things that I would never allow. Okay, *whew* That was good to get off my chest:)

We had a very productive weekend--I think I got everything done, that I needed and wanted---yay. My MIL will be here on Wednesday and my children will be home from school Thursday, Tony wants to go back on Friday--which is fine--it is highschool, so I know how important it is not to miss any days--this will only be the second day he has ever missed. Little Alexis, will be home though with Grammy and Daddy--and hopefully I will be able to come home from the hospital as soon as possible--If everything goes well I should be home Saturday--and of course, I will post here too:)

We had Tacos over the weekend--which is my husband's absolute favorite--and it is an easy meal for me to make especially when I wanted to do so much around the home. Kevin helped me with the microwave, which I have to say is now sparkling--he even went outside and scrubbed our grill clean--everything is so clean--(LOL)

Here is my Tummy taken today---3 days left and counting..........

Monday's Dinner:

Pork Roast
Roasted Potatoes
Burnt Brussel sprouts
Fresh green salad
~~~~~~~
Also, I want to thank all of you who leave me such lovely comments and send me such wonderful emails----It is so nice to have so many friends around the country that share in our love for making our home happy, taking care of our children and being a good wife to our husbands!!! ...and having just good 'ol Christian values!!!! "Show and Tell"
Kelli is having Show and Tell Friday's at her blog---Sorry I am a day late--oops. This is my item to show and tell. A lady on the Prairie Homemaker made this skirt for me last year--she asked me what colors I wanted and I told her to surprise me--and this is what she picked out--isn't it just soooo pretty and feminine. I really can not wait to be able to wear it again(after the baby)--I feel so girly girl in it----Thank you Cheryl for making such a pretty skirt that I adore.
I was going to do a tummy pic--but I just did one about two posts down--so scroll down to see--and my Saturday post for today is right below this one. You all have a wonderful Saturday and thank you for looking xoxoxo
Thank you Kelli for putting this fun post together--I can not wait to look at everybody's posts:)
Carpet, Baby and Chatter
We are getting ready for baby---today I woke up early and made breakfast for the family, then we got ready and went to Babies r us---We bought an infant carseat--I had an infant carseat, which I kept in perfect condition-- a year after Alexis was born my sister had a baby and my sister needs it for her second car, I give it to her--and she cracks the base--oops----I think I am set on the carseats for awhile--I have my new infant, the regular 5 point and the booster.
We get home, and I get a bucket of hot soapy water and a scrubber--I get on my hands and knees and spot clean the high traffic area--and then my dear husband steamed it---doesn't it look great? Now, no one walk on it until next week...(LOL)
Here are some more baby clothes we got today--I will wash all these and put them away---I love the layettes, I think they are my favorite baby clothes. Now, for all you ladies out there who know me, know how frugal I am---Babies R us is very expensive, but we got a giftcard for that store, so we had to use it---I kept thinking how much more I could have made that dollar stretch at walmart or target (giggles)
My husband helped pick out these outfits--I just love those plaid shorts--they remind me of golf pants..(LOL)
..and the infant carseat--->
After all this, Kevin took the kids out to the movies---so that will give the carpet time to dry and give me time to do things around the house. We had a late lunch, and I know they are going to fill up on popcorn and such, so I am not sure what dinner is going to be, or if they will even want it--there is plenty to eat if they are hungry though.
Now, there is one thing that my husband has to help me with also--the microwave--it is high up above the stove, and since I am only 5 foot, it is a little too high for me to clean it all out--I would normally stand on a chair--but I won't even chance that in my condition, so Kevin said he would wipe it all clean for me:)
Kelli, suggested that I show and tell my belly--I just might do that--since I can't think of anything else at the moment, since my whole thinking is focused on baby, baby, baby...(LOL)
So I am going to take another tummy pic and show and tell..
Okay---that is all for now--Happy Saturday!!! 5 Days and counting....... xoxoxox
Friday is here--> 6 days left :o)
Hello--Yay, it is Friday. My last weekend pregnant--I can not believe it--the time is coming quick. I worked in my daughter's class today, which was fun. I bought her a hoola -hoop--but I have to have Kevin show her how to do it---LOL--It just does not work when you are 9 months pregnant.
Friday Menu:
Hamburgers
Noodles with oil and garlic
Steamed Artichokes
Fresh Green salad
This Weekend we are going to steam clean the carpet in the living room. I am also going to do some laundry, and we are going to make a trip to Babies R Us--YAY---we received a gift certificate for there, so that should be a lot of fun.
I will be checking in here on and off all week, and visiting all your lovely blogs--and I will post before I go to the hospital and when I return home---I know I will enjoy reading these posts months or maybe years from now..(LOL)
This is such a ramble--I hope I am making sense :) I bought a big bottle of purrel for the downstairs bathroom, for everyone to use around the baby. I am so excited--how many times have I said that....LOL. I am also going to do Show and Tell at Kelli's blog---I just have to figure out what it will be, hmmmm--It was a very cold and rainy day today, brrrrrr. I am going to go for now---You all have a fantastic Friday xoxoxox
