Favorite Things :)

Spring is coming!
Although, I am more of a Fall and Winter girl!
I have so enjoyed the Seasons so far here in Georgia!
I do appreciate each season as it comes.  If you are a long time reader of my blog, than you know, I am a sundress, sandals kind of girl...that kind of contradicts my Fall and Winter part...LOl.  Hey, I am a Cali girl :)  You can take the Cali girl out of California, but you can not take California out of the Cali girl. 
I do so love the South though, very much!

   Here are some new hoop earrings I bought, always silver, never gold.  I did get some black ones too :)

Good Monday Morning!
This morning I took my daughter to school, and these trees were all in bloom all over the neighborhood.  This photo does not do it justice, they are so beautiful!

It is supposed to rain today, so I am going to clean and organize both fridges.  I wanted to do it this weekend, but never got a chance.

I took this picture of this home while we were out running errands.  Whenever we pass by it I always think of the history and memories this home holds.  The mother, how she cleaned it so and the children growing up here, and why or how it got to this point.  I think this home is just beautiful :)

Thankful Thursday!

Good Morning!!
There is no school tomorrow, YaY!!
Yesterday morning, I went to Kevin's school where he will be starting Kindergarten.  I had printed out all the registration forms, filled everything out. I got all the things they asked for.  I had to send away for his birth certificate, for some reason Cali does not give you one.  It was

$20.00 to get one.  I got it just in time...LOL.
I then made an appointment for the allergist.  So in mid April he is going to get tested to see exactly what he is allergic too. Oh, how I pray this nut allergy is a big mistake.

I started on my laundry last night, and I am almost done.  I brought my vacuum upstairs and I am going to start in my bedroom and go from there.  Dusting, straitening and vacuuming......
I have a pot of coffee on, and I took my chicken out of the fridge.  I am going to make a chicken and broccoli casserole for dinner tonight.  I am going to use the leftover chicken from last night, I made extra :)

It is cold this morning, but it is supposed to warm up this weekend.  Hopefully I can get my topsey-turvy :)

We had to be out in the pouring rain...Alexis had her spring concert tonight, and it was POURING!!!

Portobello Pasta Bake!

Robin, the Crockpot beef and macaroni recipe is this:  I browned some ground beef and put it in the crockpot with some spaghetti sauce, I used Bertolli....I also added a few seasonings of my own...garlic, oregano...I let it simmer all day on low.  Then at the last hour I added cooked macaroni noodles.....  :)

Sissy asked to have her hair professionally cut and styled.
So we did some research, and found a really cute salon to take her too.  The lady was AWESOME!!!

Her hair tuned out beautiful!!

Spring forward is this weekend, can you believe it?
I so love when it is dark early, I will miss it...LOL.  I am such a Fall and Winter girl!
Spring will be nice though.
I am going to do the Topsey-Turvey here.  Maybe I will have better luck here in Georgia, than I did in Cali.  Remember my dreaded Horn worm story about my tomatoes?

I did a little shopping today too.
All laundry was done....until everyone got ready for bed....

Vacuumed the upstairs
Dishwasher twice
swept
Cleaned the Guinea girls' cage
Cleaned Tiki's perch
Pottied Axel numerous times...LOL.
Washed his bedding

Scrubbed my shower yesterday, Tilex is my friend, along with the Magic Eraser:)

Here in Georgia, I have a feeling as soon as the heat is turned off the A/C will go on...LOL.
Oh, and the bugs.....where do they go in the winter?
Where are all those wasps that chase me in the summer?  Where do they go?...LOL.

Good Morning!!

Tony's Birthday is today:) 
He turns 21....I can not believe it...LOL. My baby is all grown up.  I was 21 myself in this photo.  Seems so long ago, and yet it also feels like yesterday.......

On Saturday, Kevin picked up his "New" car.
Wednesday he got his new glasses.

We also got him a new coffee pot for his home, with all the stuff.
I made him a birthday cake and I am letting it cool, before I frost it.  When I am done, I will take a picture :)

I hope everyone had a wonderful day today.
For tonight's dinner I made Beef Enchiladas, Spanish rice, and salad :)

Tony is back over at his place.  He was off work today, so he stayed there last night.  He has to go to work tomorrow, so Kevin will take him.  Kevin is picking up Tony's new car tomorrow, but Tony can not drive it until his new glasses come in.  Things are working out and hopefully my son will realize accidents do happen.  I am just so grateful he is okay.

My father called me, and he always knows the right thing to say.  I love my Father :)

Anyway, this is just a small update, I will write more tomorrow.  Sleep is calling me...LOL.  Nighty-night!

Tuesday!

Hello!  I know a lot of you follow me on Facebook, so most of you know what happened.  I got a call Sunday night, my son had gotten in a car accident.  I am thanking God, for watching over my baby.  He walked away from a completely totaled car......I was so scared.  I am so grateful my son is okay.  He is devastated about his car, but I keep telling him, a car can be replaced, he can not.  I don't care how old any of my children are, they are still my babies!!!  His glasses broke in the accident, so I took him to get new glasses yesterday...he prefers glasses over contacts, I am the same way.  He has his own place, but he had to stay here so we could get him to work.  He will NOT miss work no matter what.  So, my husband is on a hunt for a new car for Tony.....We also have to get the car out of the tow yard and park it.  We can't do anything with it until the insurance sees it...Kevin and Tony are handling all that....I don't understand all that too much.

I am in better spirits today, but trust me, Sunday night and yesterday I was in a fog.....I praise Jesus for my baby not being hurt!!

I would have bought the Gain kind, but they didn't have a matching sent for the Gain....

I just finsihed a load of my husband's jeans and they smell so nice :)

 I also bought Gain today, becuase my SIL said it works great :)

My SIL and I went shopping today.
I had so much fun.
I bought this Knic-Knac for my dresser.
It says, "Take What You Learn Today, With You Tomorrow"

I also got some more pillows for my bed, with these beautiful pillow cases :)

There are a few more things that I got that I want to share, but I will do that in another post.

For dinner tonight we had hot wings and french fries :)  Easy dinner.

It is Friday night and one of my favorite shows is on tonight, Dateline.  I have it recording because I can't sit and watch it at the moment, it is one of those things I like to listen too as I am going to bed.

Had a good day today!
It was really nice outside, so when my husband did yard work, the kids played outside:)  The wonderful thing about being outside is, the bugs aren't out yet...LOL....I am not a bug person.

We had Pizza tonight :) Last night we went to a Japanese Steak House, and Sunday was my Husband's birthday party.  Tomorrow I should have a normal dinner menu...LOL :)

Hibachi Dinner :)

Yesterday was my husband's big birthday party, but today is his actual birthday.  So we went out to dinner to a Japanese Steakhouse, and had Hibachi :)  They catered to Little Keven's food allergies, so that is a big plus!

Kevin's New Bedding :)

I was so excited I found this new bedding.  My SIL and I went to this Flee Market on Friday, where all the money goes to helping animals.  This month all the monies goes to helping dogs, and next month all the monies goes to helping cats.

We had a wonderful time yesterday celebrating my husband's Birthday....I cooked all day on Saturday.  I have to confess, we had about 30 people over, so after the guests started showing up....I put my camera down, and didn't think to take pictures.  My SIL did take a lot of pictures, but she took them of the guests, so I don't have many food shots...I am sorry!  I did post a picture of the cake below this post:)

Party Prepping!

This Sunday I am throwing a birthday party for my husband.....About 30 people are coming...so, I have A LOT to do!!!  I am doing all the cooking and baking.  So tomorrow, I will be in the kitchen all day!  So much to do!  I will take pictures and try and share as much as I can.  I cleaned all the bathrooms today, that was a job, 5 total!  I have done pretty much all I can do...so tomorrow, I can completely focus on all the food prep:)
