Meme--Tagging 15 people--LQQK-->

Chrissy tagged me for this meme

Here are the rules:

Each player lists eight facts/habits about themselves. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed. At the end of the post, the player then tags eight people and posts their names, then goes over to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to go read your blog.

I am not sure how to do this--but I was tagged by my friend Amy at Picket fences--so I am going to do hers too--so I will have written a total of 15 facts about me with being tagged 7 more.

"The rules are real easy, all you have to do is write 7 random facts or habits about yourself in your blog. Then choose and list 7 people and leave them a 'Tag' letting them know to come by, and read your blog and see why."

1. I went to college to get my nursing degree--I may finish once my children are grown.

I made spaghetti and meatballs on Saturday, and instead of my Sunday roast, I made tacos, which my family happily ate..LOL.

Well, I am off to start my day--I will take pictures along the way to share here. This was just a quick post to say Happy Monday--I will be back shortly and I will by all your blogs too:) xoxo

Sunday

ULTIMATE SACRIFICE...
AFTER A FEW OF THE USUAL SUNDAY EVENING HYMNS,
THE CHURCH'S PASTOR SLOWLY STOOD UP,
WALKED OVER TO THE PULPIT AND,
BEFORE HE GAVE HIS SERMON FOR THE EVENING,
HE BRIEFLY INTRODUCED A GUEST MINISTER
WHO WAS IN THE SERVICE THAT EVENING.
IN THE INTRODUCTION, THE PASTOR TOLD THE
CONGREGATION THAT THE GUEST MINISTER WAS
ONE OF HIS DEAREST CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AND
THAT HE WANTED HIM TO HAVE A FEW MOMENTS
TO GREET THE CHURCH AND SHARE WHATEVER
HE FELT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE FOR THE SERVICE.
WITH THAT, AN ELDERLY MAN STEPPED UP TO THE
PULPIT AND BEGAN TO SPEAK.
"A FATHER, HIS SON, AND A FRIEND OF HIS SON WERE
SAILING OFF THE PACIFIC COAST ," HE BEGAN.
"WHEN A FAST APPROACHING STORM BLOCKED ANY
ATTEMPT TO GET BACK TO THE SHORE.
THE WAVES WERE SO HIGH, THAT EVEN THOUGH THE
FATHER WAS AN EXPERIENCED SAILOR, HE COULD NOT
KEEP THE BOAT UPRIGHT AND THE THREE WERE SWEPT
INTO THE OCEAN AS THE BOAT CAPSIZED."
THE OLD MAN HESITATED FOR A MOMENT,
MAKING EYE CONTACT WITH TWO TEENAGERS WHO WERE,
FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE THE SERVICE BEGAN,
LOOKING SOMEWHAT INTERESTED IN HIS STORY.
THE AGED MINISTER CONTINUED WITH HIS STORY,
"GRABBING A RESCUE LINE, THE FATHER HAD TO MAKE THE
MOST EXCRUCIATING DECISION OF HIS LIFE: TO WHICH BOY
WOULD HE THROW THE OTHER END OF THE LIFE LINE.
HE ONLY HAD SECONDS TO MAKE THE DECISION.
THE FATHER KNEW THAT HIS SON WAS A CHRISTIAN AND
HE, ALSO, KNEW THAT HIS SON'S FRIEND WAS NOT.
THE AGONY OF HIS DECISION COULD NOT BE MATCHED BY
THE TORRENT OF WAVES.
AS THE FATHER YELLED OUT, 'I LOVE YOU, SON!'
HE THREW OUT THE LIFE LINE TO HIS SON'S FRIEND.
BY THE TIME THE FATHER HAD PULLED THE FRIEND BACK
TO THE CAPSIZED BOAT, HIS SON HAD DISAPPEARED BENEATH
THE RAGING SWELLS INTO THE BLACK OF NIGHT.
HIS BODY WAS NEVER RECOVERED.
BY THIS TIME, THE TWO TEENAGERS WERE SITTING UP
STRAIGHT IN THE PEW, ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THE NEXT
WORDS TO COME OUT OF THE OLD MINISTER'S MOUTH.
"THE FATHER," HE CONTINUED, "KNEW HIS SON WOULD
STEP INTO ETERNITY WITH JESUS AND HE COULD NOT
BEAR THE THOUGHT OF HIS SON'S FRIEND STEPPING INTO
AN ETERNITY WITHOUT JESUS.. THEREFORE, HE SACRIFICED
HIS SON TO SAVE THE SON'S FRIEND. "
HOW GREAT IS THE LOVE OF GOD THAT HE SHOULD DO THE
SAME FOR US OUR HEAVENLY FATHER SACRIFICED HIS ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON THAT WE COULD BE SAVED. I URGE YOU TO
ACCEPT HIS OFFER TO RESCUE YOU AND TAKE A HOLD OF THE
LIFE LINE HE IS THROWING OUT TO YOU IN THIS SERVICE."
WITH THAT, THE OLD MAN TURNED AND SAT BACK DOWN IN
HIS CHAIR AS SILENCE FILLED THE ROOM.
THE PASTOR AGAIN WALKED SLOWLY TO THE PULPIT AND
DELIVERED A BRIEF SERMON WITH AN INVITATION AT THE
END. HOWEVER, NO ONE RESPONDED TO THE APPEAL.
WITHIN MINUTES AFTER THE SERVICE ENDED, THE TWO
TEENAGERS WERE AT THE OLD MAN'S SIDE.
"THAT WAS A NICE STORY," POLITELY STATED ONE OF
THEM,"BUT I DON'T THINK IT WAS VERY REALISTIC FOR A
FATHER TO GIVE UP HIS ONLY SON'S LIFE IN HOPES THAT
THE OTHER BOY WOULD BECOME A CHRISTIAN."
"WELL, YOU'VE GOT A POINT THERE," THE OLD MAN REPLIED,
GLANCING DOWN AT HIS WORN BIBLE. A BIG SMILE BROADENED
HIS NARROW FACE. HE ONCE AGAIN LOOKED UP AT THE BOYS
AND SAID, "IT SURE ISN'T VERY REALISTIC, IS IT? BUT,
I'M STANDING HERE TODAY TO TELL YOU THAT STORY GIVES
ME A GLIMPSE OF WHAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN LIKE FOR GOD
TO GIVE UP HIS SON FOR ME.
YOU SEE...
I WAS THAT FATHER AND YOUR PASTOR IS MY SON'S FRIEND."

Show and Tell

Kelli is hosting her Friday Show and Tell--and I remembered to do it on time--yay!!! You know how you talk about things you like and never realize how much someone is really paying attention? Well, a year or so ago my Dear husband comes home with this: Little House, the FIRST season!!! The first season is my absolute favorite--I could watch every episode over and over. So this is my show and tell---my Little House on the Prairie DVD set of the first season--->
I want to be like *Ma* when I grow up:)
There are 6 discs with a different picture on them
They sure don't make shows like Little House anymore.
Also, last week they showed the pilot movie on Hallmark--and I was lucky enough to record it--woohoo!! I just adore the episodes when they focus on their family life--and not the silly episodes of when Albert falls asleep and dreams of indians. What was your favorite episode? Thank you for looking at my show and tell:)

Happy Friday Everyone!!! A written post will be a little later:)

Thursday--short post

Wow, it is Thursday already!! Woohoo, that means it is almost the weekend. I have a lot to do before this month is over--I have to plan a birthday party for my daughter, Father's Day, make a butterfly costume for my daughter's play. I am still working on my list---if I don't finish, I will just add it on to next weeks list:)

Tonight's dinner is going to be buffalo hot wings--yummy:)

Well, that is about all I have time for....oh, I have a quick question---it is a getting pregnant question. My doctor said that as long as I am nursing, that I probably won't get pregnant for the first six months---I was just curious has anyone out there gotten pregnant while nursing, less then a year of giving birth?

Wednesday--Some pictures too

Hello. I think you all know by now, that when I say I am going to do something tomorrow--it may be the tomorrow after the tomorrow...LOL. I just could not find the time to sit here and put up these pictures yesterday---I am a pretty quick typer, but when there are pictures involved it takes a little longer--so, I can not always get here when I say. Okay, now on to some pictures:

Kevin sleeping---I just love those little cheeks--I am constantly kissing them
My boy again--->
I did Alexis's hair in pig tails today and we put little lady bugs in her hair--I need my other digital back, it takes better pictures--you can't really see the detail here---my other camera is still at Grandmas
All the ingredients ready to go for the rolls--->
Rolls ready to rise--they came out big---> perfect for pulled pork sandwiches--->
The pork in the crock pot-->
This is the sauce I used-->
Pouring it in..LOL
All done--it smelled so good--->
Instead of pancakes this morning I decided to make Tony and Alexis hashbrowns and eggs--here are the shredded potatoes, that I shredded myself--->
getting brown--->
Here is Tony's breakfast---> Alexis had Hashbrowns and applesauce
A pretty bow in Alexis's hair the other day--->
This is my pretty girl all ready for school this morning----->

The beginning of the week, I always hard boil some eggs, Alexis just loves to them as a snack, also, I use them in my salads, sandwiches, deviled eggs---etc. ----->

I made baked pasta one night. Yes, I do not always make my own sauce--But the can was opened with love:)
I put the cheese on last--->
Here are my beautiful Artichokes---->
I cut the stems off, and trim the leaves with scissors, the sharp part--then I put them in a big pot of water and boil until tender(30 minutes on average), a leave will come off easily. Next time I make artichokes I will do a step by step with pictures, okay? Here is a website all about artichokes with recipes CLICK HERE

Also, on Saturday, I made a big list of everything I would like to get accomplished through the week--I have done a few things already--this is my Notebook--you all are familiar with my notebook:)

whew---those were a lot of pictures..lol. I really enjoy taking all these pictures and sharing them, and I like to look back and see what I was up too back then...Next month I will have been writing in this blog for a whole year, wow, I can not even believe it. I will look back in the beginning and read about Georgia, the rain, packing, wanting to have another baby--it is so neat to have these things written down to remember, and it is even better to make friends while I am doing it.

Today is Wednesday and I want to get something else crossed off my list--I also have laundry, empty the dishwasher, prep for dinner, all sorts of fun things. The kids are all in school and Kevin is napping. I am going to make a pot of coffee--it is half caff, half decaff it seems to give me a little nudge and the doctor said it should be just fine, plus I drink a lot of water too.

I hope all who stops by has a wonderful Wednesday, keep smiling and big hugs for all my friends!!! xoxoxoxo

A New Week

Good Morning--it seems odd saying Good Morning, when I have been up since 5:30....LOL. We had a very busy weekend---with everyone home, I thought it would be easier to get here and blog, since I have a lot of things I want to write and share. I have taken a bunch of pictures over the weekend and today--of things I have been cooking, my kids, and just my everyday life. Kevin is napping right now, so I thought I would jump on the computer for a second. I have plenty to do today and through the week, but tomorrow hopefully I can post all the pictures---it should be a fun post. Anyway, thank you all for looking at my show and tell--I still have not been able to get to all your show and tells, but I am working on it. I made a giant list of everything I want to accomplish this week--that I will share tomorrow---Kevin cleaned my Blazer over the weekend, it is so nice driving in a freshly cleaned car--I never let it get bad, but it does look very nice. I made a pork roast for Sunday dinner--so now, I have put the rest in the crockpot with BBQ sauce, and I am making homemade rolls to go with the pulled pork--I am also going to steam some artichokes--and a nice green salad---I am also going to make some Ranch dressing--I have a busy week ahead of me, so I better stop for now--I will be by all your blogs soon--if not today then tomorrow---Have a wonderful June day xoxoxox.

P.S. I have had a lot of people ask me what the KF Board is--it is Kitchen Frugality--it is a message board on American Online, that I have been posting/reading for years---it always has a great dinner thread to give me such good ideas--and there is a dear lady on there that got me into making a lot of my own bread like the famous homemade bagels:)

Show and Tell Friday

This is my show and tell for today. Yes, I know, it is my baby again--BUT---he is in his new outfit that Kelli sent him---I tried to get a good picture of the handstitch--also, the booty's will have to be another day, they are just a tad too big:) I put him in his new outfit today, and we had a well baby checkup---he is now 11 pounds(He was 7.14)--woohoo----my doctor was very pleased, especially since he is a breastfed baby---nursing on demand does it--it helps your milk come in and it keeps your baby satisfied---okay I will save my breastfeeding post for another time----

Those little pants are soo cute---I had to get a closeup of his little feet.

Thank you for looking at my show and tell:)
