This was a very hard week for me.  My Guinea Girl, who was quite the talker had stopped whistling, squeaking and all the cute noises she made.  She was always so happy in the morning when she heard me coming down the stairs, knowing that breakfast was coming.  Her sweet sister always sat back and let Lacey do all the talking.  When Lacey started to get sick, Luna, took up the slack and she started whistling for her sweet cage mate, letting me know they wanted some treats. Lacey showed no interest in food whatsoever, but I kept offering the same food as always, and saying what I always said when I was bringing them food, "Are my babies Hungry?"  Lacey and Luna would immediately get on the hind legs and perch up on their cage waiting for their food.  I always rubbed there heads between their ears. Lacey stopped all this on Thursday.  Numerous trips to the vet entailed this week.  I made all her food now, I juiced all her fruits and veggies and hand fed it to her through a syringe, she ate it like a champ..little chirps would come from her.  Not sure if the chirps were of happiness, or pain, or just saying thank you :)  The feedings continued and I upped them through the night.  It was like I was nursing a newborn baby again.  The sweet quiet nights holding her and feeding her, and then putting her back to bed.  I was exhausted, but I was happy to care for her.  You see she was not a rodent, she was a part of my family.  She was someone I loved dearly and she was a bright spot in our home.  I will forever miss her little antics, and her morning greetings to me.  She was loved and in return she loved back unconditionally.  I don't think Lacey will ever truly know, how darn cute she was.  That little tiny life, taught me so much and I will be forever grateful in knowing her.  RIP my sweet friend, thank you for letting me take care of you :)

Dinner :)

 We had Grandma Effie's Goulash for dinner tonight.  In a book we have, it has Kevin's Great Grandmother's recipe.  It was a childhood favorite of his, so tonight I made it :)
I also served it with a salad and crusty buttered bread .

It was very easy to make, and I hope I made Grandma Effie proud.  Kevin said it tasted just like he remembered.  It reminded me of a meal that they would eat on Little House On The Prairie :)  You can google Goulash and all sorts of recipes come up.

Painting!

Today I sand papered and painted our patio furniture.....We have 2 sets, one on the upstairs deck and one on the downstairs patio...the one on the downstairs patio was my husband's grandfather's and it was rather weathered and worn, so I sand papered it and painted it.  It looks really nice now, and I put some pretty flowers on the table :)

Kevin is going to blow all the debris away, so then it will look really nice out there.

We also went out to dinner at a Pizzeria, "Pizza Pie in the Sky"  It was fun.

Allergy Wristband!

Looky what I got today for Kevin.  Allergy wristband.  It was at CVS for $6.99 :)

I am also ordering one from Medic Alert.
School is just around the corner.
As long as we are prepared, I think everything will be just fine.
I want my little boy to have the best school experience ever:)

In our Sub-Division we have 5 pools, and this particular one is our favorite.  It is mostly Mom's with young kids.  I think we are going to skip the pool today...I need a break from the sun...LOL

Where Are We?

This is the fireplace at the Cracker Barrel.
One of my very favorite restaurants of all time!
I went there over the weekend.  My Sil and I stopped in for lunch after running some errands.  I had the house salad and some veggie soup.

I got this Slide Whistle for my little boy at the Cracker Barrel store.

.....Then, we see this in the road.  Someone's muffler fell out of their car...and was just left there.....

We went over to our friends house, and played on their water slide :)

I think little boys should look like little boys :)  Don't get me wrong, I love my husband's long hair, but I think little boys should have short hair!

Thursday!

My SIL and I went out, all day...we had so many errands.
We had lunch at a Japanese Restaurant, at the Hibachi Bar. They do not use peanut oil, so it is safe.  There was another family that sat at the same Hibachi as us, and the little girl that sat next to Kevin also had a Peanut allergy.....Kevin has never met another child with a peanut allergy before.
This was what I ordered, Avocado Rolls :)

I stopped at this one clothing store, and I bought this summer dress:)
A few other things too :)

I got Kevin his new swimming trunks~~~Sonic the hedgehog, of course...LOL..I will share some more pictures...it is getting late now, but I will be back tomorrow :)
