Teeth!

I mentioned awhile back that I was getting new teeth.  Well, today was the day!
The first picture is before..
My two front teeth are fake, and they started to shift.
I had a gap in between my two front teeth, and the cement was starting to show.

 This is the after.  Now, these are just temporaries until my new porcelain teeth are made, but I am soooo HAPPY with the temps too.  No gap and no cement showing.

After my teeth were done, I couldn't help but cry, I was so happy!

 Well, what do you think?
Let's see......I have a lot I want to say.  Do I say what is swirling in my head, or do I pray on it.

This is my blog and I feel I have a right to state my opinion, yes?

I don't know.

A part of me wants to put it all out there and another part doesn't...I struggle with this at times.

I am going to say this......When Kevin and I got married, we started with very little..we paid our bills and worked hard.  There were many times we had to go without.....there were many times, we weren't quite sure where all this was going, but we worked hard, had hope and faith..and slowly but surely things have worked out.  No one gave us anything!  Everything we have, we worked for.  We pay for our own medical, dental and vision.......this computer I am typing on was paid for by hard earned cash, nobody gave it to me, I did not steal it, I did not take it.....if we can not afford something at the moment, we save for it...we don't think we are entitled to it because everyone else has one. 

I am going to wake up every morning and be happy, it is a choice we all have.  I have a loving God, who has given me a wonderful husband and wonderful children....How can you not find happiness in that?

I am blessed with a wonderful life...but we got here through hard work.  Yes, I have worked outside the home....there was a time in my life, that I was a single mom....it was me and me alone.....I worked hard, I took care of my son with no help from ANYONE!!!!  I paid for all of my son's needs by myself, medical, dental, and vision....did I get handouts, no...did I feel entitled, no..I felt entitled to my paycheck every week, and I gave my son an excellent life......I worked during school hours, so even though I worked, he knew me as a SAHM..it can be done.  If I can do it...ANYONE can do it.  Get off your self entitled bottom and work hard.  NOBODY owes you anything.

We must now come together and work together and make this country the best it can be.  There is no changing what the outcome is, but we can all make a difference.  If you think one person can not make a difference, then you need to re read your bible...look at what Jesus Christ did for all of us.  God Bless America and I thank God everyday that I am able to wake up everyday and live in this beautiful country.

Monday...Dinner Pictures!

Hello:)

Here are some pictures of some meals I had cooked .
Are you tired of seeing my salads?...LOL.
Let me know if there is something you would like to see.
This salad, has avocado, tomatoes..and lots of other veggies. 

This particular salad is served to my hubby.
(he gets a larger portion)
He once told me, he knew he was going to marry me after he ate one of my salads...LOL.

This is a pan fried pork dinner, with seasoned green beans and loaded baked potato.

This is a beef roast I slow cooked in my crockpot, served with mashed potatoes, gravy made from the roast juices, peas with butter and salt and pepper....I had mushrooms I needed to use, so I sauteed them and put them over the roast

This dinner, I can't remember if I shared this before, it was on my camera, so I am sharing it just in case.  I made breaded chicken and pork strips along with fried rice.......

Volcano :)

It smells pretty too, Kevin melted my apple and cinnamon candle over the volcano to make the lava...LOL

Pumpkins :)

 When I was at my Sdaughter's baby shower, my husband and little Kevin carved the pumpkin with the face :)
When Alexis and I got home, she carved the pumpkin with the word on it...can you guess what it says?  It says Windows...LOL..She wants the new windows for her computer, a slight hint....LOL.

I made the pumpkin seeds for my parrot, Tiki :)

Friday!

Yes!
As I listen to the news, I am reminded how blessed I am at this moment!
I have a roof over my head, food and water, warmth, clean clothes, warm bed...electricity.  I feel so bad for the people who are doing without just the bear necessities right now.....and not just now, but all the time, it just seems to be magnified at this moment......

I pray for them!

Today was one of those days, where I didn't have to go anywhere...I so enjoy these kind of days.

I listened to the news as I did my daily activities around the house.

It was a bit warmer today than it has been.
Dinner tonight was Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, steamed veggies, steamed rice and salad...a rather healthy meal :)

I am so happy for the weekend, I just love having all my family around me.

I hope everyone is able to stay safe and warm and fed tonight......(((HUGS)))

Grocery Shopping :)

Hello ....I thought I would take you shopping with me:)

I always park next to a cart corral.  A pet peeve of mine is when people do not put their carts away and leave them in the parking lot.  They can roll away and hit a car.....

I went shopping at Publix

Look at all the carts...they are inside....in Cali, they are outside :)

Cheese!..great variety.

They have a very nice produce section....they tried selling wheat grass...but I was the only one that bought it, so they stopped.  It wasn't a good sell for them, but I appreciate that they tried for me.

JUICES!!!  I look at the ingredients and recreate the juice with my juicer at home ....

I wanted some avocados, but they were very over ripe..so I passed.

BEAUTIFUL tomatoes!!!

Part of the meat section...I don't normally buy meat here, we usually stock up on meat from Costco and Walmart:)  There are times, on occasion that I do pick something up though.  They had a really good deal on roasts and chicken breasts the other day, so I picked some of that up.

I needed some trash bags......I bought Publix brand here..I usually get them Walmart, but I really needed some.

Cheez-It's, buy one get one free!  Do you see the Goldfish...I think that is a staple in anyone's home, that have kids...LOL...

My husband loves Coke...LOL..I just noticed he is in front of Pepsi...LOL...My husband doesn't like Pepsi.....

AHHHH, a little bit of heaven for me, coffee creamer...my new favorite flavor is Sugar Cookie.......

47 degrees at 10:32 in the morning.....brrrrrrr....

It was funny...there was not a lot of people shopping, but the ones that were their, were giving me odd looks as I was taking pictures...LOL...It was funny.......

I think I had an extreme couponer behind me in line, she was talking about how the 10 conditioners she was getting should ring up free with her coupons and the sale...she had two carts, and I so wanted to stay and watch, but I didn't want to make her uncomfortable.......

I hope you enjoyed shopping with me...after I got home, I realized I forgot to take a picture of my shopping cart....next time, I will do that.

Last night's dinner we had take out BBQ:)
The night before that we had, pork chops, macaroni and cheese, peas and a salad........

Monday :)

I did some shopping on Friday.

 I was going to put this post up earlier, but I didn't get a chance.  I did a small grocery trip on Friday.  I wanted to show you my shopping bags :)  I use my own.

 Do you see my creamer??  Publix only carries the small sizes of the holiday creamer....Walmart has the big ones.  I do my small shopping at Publix and my big shopping at Walmart and Costco.  Lots of veggies.  Dog food, and some Pringles......I also needed some more coffee...I drink A LOT of coffee.

 I had a very busy weekend......
I went shopping for my Step daughter, for her baby shower, which was on Sunday.  Very nice Baby Shower......I wanted to buy everything I saw at the store for the baby...LOL.

I am also oragnizing my closet....Remember my closet....I have never in my life seen a closet as big as this...LOL. My closet here is bigger than my first apartment.  So I am really trying to oraganize it and make it look nice.  There is no reason for anything to be smooshed anywhere, there is lots of room.

On Sunday, I cooked a roast in the crockpot.....Saturday we had Grilled London Broil, aspargus and butter beans....on Friday I made breaded pork and chicken strips with fried rice..and I made salads to go with my dinners :)

My husband took charge of the pumpkin carving...YaY!  The kids helped of course.

It is very cold and windy here, it is 45 degrees right now as I type, brrrrrr.

 We just got home from shopping...I snapped these pictures of him fully dressed..LOL...once we walk in the door, shirt comes off.

Dinner pics :)

 Last night's dinner we had Sausage, butter beans that I soaked and then cooked all day in the crockpot with hamhocks...I also made greens and homemade dinner rolls.  As always I served it with a green salad......

Pictures on the wall.....

My SIL gave me some really pretty pictures.  I hung them up and they really look nice :)  I try so hard to be a good decorator, but I think I may lack in that department.  I know what I like.  I like warm cozy tones, and I like the country theme of things.  I am in no way into abstract art or contemporary...I like things dark and cozy....LOL.

 Pictures in my bathroom above my tub.  They are pretty pictures of bathrooms, so I figured they belong in a bathroom :)
