Kelli is hosting her Show and Tell---which I just love. Thank you Kelli. So make sure you hop on over to her blog and look at all the wonderful links there, and leave your own.
My Show and Tell, is a pillow. When my son was 5, he had asked me for 5 dollars for school---he said all the kids are going shopping in the school store for Christmas. It was already wrapped when he brought it home, and he set it under the tree for me----it was the most beautiful gift:) It is a pillow that stays on my bed always--and whenever I look at it, I remember the little boy that I use to carry. When he was tired from Karate, he asked me to carry him to the car---as I was holding him, I said, "Tony, pretty soon I am not going to be able to carry you", and he said, "That is okay Mommy, because when I get big, I will carry you!!!"
My son is getting big, he is 15 now--I tell him this story, does he remember it? I am not sure, but it makes us both smile:)

Sweet story and I love that his sweet gift has a place of honor!
Such a lovely story and pillow.
Take care,
Connie
What a sweet, sweet story! If I were you, and I'm at the ripe ol' age of 80+ and can't make it up the stairs, I'd make sure my son's nearby. *giggles*
Mine's shared too.
What a sweet story and pillow!!

That's so sweet, Julieann! My big boy is now 16. The other day after I had taken a nap, I said something to the effect that I slept so hard that I didn't think I wouldv'e woke up if the house had been on fire. Mac said,
"Don't worry, Mom, I would've carried you out." Big boys are just as sweet as the babies, aren't they?
That is SUCH a sweet story of your son! Reminds me of the book Love your Forever. Ever read it? First time I did, I actually got choked up!
Precious.
What a sweet story! =)
What a precious story! It reminds me of the book "Love You Forever"! Aren't our children such a blessing??!! Thank you for sharing your special pillow.
Hugs,
Amy

It's a lovely pillow but an even sweeter story. I have 3 guys -- they do have their moments, don't they. :-)
Beautiful pillow, sweet story! Has he tried to carry you yet!

I'm not sure if I've been here before...but this story brought tears to my eyes!
I started a little later becoming a mom, so my youngest is just five. And I kind of wish time would stand still right now- I do know how fast they grow up!
What a sweet, sweet story and a beautiful pillow your little son gave you!
P.S...OK, now I remember- this was my second time here! You showed the wonderful Mayberry cookbook last time...
Got you bookmarked now! :)

A comment like that shows that you made an effort to be with your child!
The pillow is a good memory for you both.
My mother told me who Elvis was.
