I am going to live vicariously through your fall. We will stay in the upper 80's and low 90's for at least another month or so. But I still love to put out all my fall decorations and pretend!!!
Hi Julieann I'm enjoying fall here too... I'm surprised at myself...I'm really getting into this cooking and baking thing. The girls all gave me a meal request for my shopping this week and I'm planning to make several calzones to freeze for school lunches..they are SO yummy. The girls will love them. They will make such a quick fix for lunch prep! I'm also planning to make up some cinnamon buns. Have you ever heard of an apple cake? It's apple season here and we live in orchard country so apples abound right now. Courtenay and I made an apple cake topped with cinnamon and sugar with chunks of apple in it..it was a huge hit!! I'm going to try to find a lower fat recipe though..I think the reason it was so good was that it was loaded with fat and sugar! It had a cup of oil a cup of sour cream and 2 cups of sugar plus 1/2 a cup of sugar on the top and then an icing sugar glaze over it all! It was loaded with sugar and fat but like I said, VERY yummy! Well I'd better get off to bed it's getting terribly late! Hope you're all doing well... take care Heather
Hi Julieann! I can't wait to see what you are going to be baking this fall!! Isn't it FUN!!! I'm dying to make some pumpkin bread... Hmmmm... I just may do that tomorrow... :)
I LOVE fall. It was warm here though. In the mid 70's. But we did go apple picking!
ReplyDeleteFresh home made applesauce this week. Baked apples with cinnamon. YUMMY.
We also got some pumpkins and my youngest painted one of hers. I need to get some pics to post on my blog of the front of my house, fall decorated.
HAPPY FALL!!
